What is BMC® Performance Manager for Hardware?
BMC® Performance Manager for Hardware is a single Knowledge
Module® for PATROL® that helps you watch the health of almost
all the hardware your IT runs on. It brings the hardware-related
information within your PATROL® framework in an easy unified
graphical user interface.

Vendors supply hardware instrumentation agents for each server.
This agent is the only software that retrieves server hardware
configuration and gives information about its availability. Vendors
often provide specific consoles to display the data collected by the
agents. Although these monitoring solutions are accurate for the
servers they are intended for, they require administrators to use
specific technologies for each brand, and so the management of a
heterogeneous infrastructure is complex and resource-intensive.
BMC Performance Manager for Hardware collects information from
diverse agents, and then makes it available in a manner offering you
centralized monitoring management of your entire infrastructure.
You no longer need separate tools for each of the different servers.

unified core monitoring engine and connectors that plug into specific
monitoring software. Upon startup, BMC® Performance Manager
for Hardware automatically detects your environment, connects to
