NEW
PRO
ISSUES
&ANSWERS
The program, “Issues and Answers,”
hosted by Family Radio’s president and
general manager Tom Evans, is now
being heard Monday - Friday.
It is a program that is designed to
address various issues facing Family
Radio, as well as to answer questions
posed by listeners - seeking God’s
Word, the Bible for answers.
The program also gives an opportunity
for listeners to hear the latest news
about the ministry, as well as to find
out where Family Radio stands on key
Biblical issues.
“Issues and Answers” is not meant to
replace the “Open Forum,” Family
Radio’s original question and answer
program; but rather, to give an
opportunity for listeners to hear from
Family Radio’s board of directors on
any new changes, or ways that they are
seeking to honor God in serving Him
through this ministry.
Listeners are encouraged to send their
questions or comments for possible use
on this program, as Tom presents and
seeks to answer questions as he is able.
Family Radio’s mailing address is:

THE MID-EAST REPORT
Family Radio is pleased to bring a new
feature called, “The Mid-East News
Report,” with Brian Bush, to our Saturday
schedule. Family Radio has a long tradition
of offering news, public affairs and other
programming of an informational and
educational nature on Saturdays, along
with our blend of Scripture reading,
teaching programs and traditional music.
Many Christians have expressed an interest
in knowing what is happening in this
volatile region of the world, especially as it
pertains to believers in the area, but prefer
not to have to tune away to “worldly news
sources” to remain informed. Brian Bush
has an extensive background in journalism,
and as a believer living in Jerusalem, Brian
has first-hand knowledge of the news
there, that is important to our audience.

• Lord, Teach Us to Pray. Page 2
Our direct line of communication to God begins with the prayer with
which Jesus Himself taught us how to reach out to the Father.
• Words of Comfort, Words of Hope. Page 3
Selected Scripture verses as you reflect on the Words and promises of God.
Each month, various “Share-Day” segments of
programming are aired, coming in and out
of regular programming, to have a virtual,
“Open House,” over the radio, inviting
listeners to see and hear what’s going on with
Family Radio. We want to keep you informed
of news and events affecting the ministry;
have you meet some of our staff members;
and hear listeners tell how our Lord is using
the Family Radio station that they listen to,
to bless and encourage them.
We hope that you, too, will be blessed of the
Lord, as we hear ways that we can partner
together to praise and thank the Lord Jesus
Christ for His precious gift of salvation!

“Psalm 90: God is Eternal,” is our newest
publication by Harold Camping that is now
available. It has been transcribed and edited
into a booklet from some of Mr. Camping’s
last studies that he gave on this Psalm, which
was a prayer to God by Moses. God of course
gave Moses the words of this wonderful
prayer, so that they were written as part of
the Bible (2 Peter 1:21).
Moses,
you
may
remember, was the man
chosen by God to lead the
Israelites out of Egypt and
through the wilderness for
40 years. God has included
this beautiful prayer in the
book of Psalms, so the
children of God can learn
about their relationship with the Lord, as their
Eternal God!
For a free copy of this booklet, you may order
it by phone, the Internet, or mail: 1-800-5431495; www.familyradio.org; Family Radio,

Although Harold Camping is home with the Lord, God’s mercy is everlasting
and His truth endures to all generations:
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth
endureth to all generations. Psalm 100:5
This is why we are pleased to present a study by Harold Camping based
on the truths of the Bible. Here, we are continuing his study on the
important topic: “Deliver us from evil” and “For thine is the kingdom, and
the power, and the glory, for ever.”
Lord, Teach Us to Pray
A STUDY BY HAROLD CAMPING
The Lord’s prayer is given to us in the
Word of God in two passages:
Luke 11:2-4 and Matthew 6:9-13:
After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom
come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in
heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive
our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever.
Amen..
“Deliver us from evil”
The word “evil” here can be understood
as Satan, as sin, and as the wrath to
come.
Before we are saved, we are in bondage
to Satan, and we are in bondage to sin.
These are the terrible evils to which
every human is enslaved. But, in
addition, we are under the wrath of
God. The judgment of God is a terrible
evil that man is under because God’s
perfect justice demands full payment for
sin. Therefore, the prayer “deliver us
from evil” is also a prayer for salvation.
To become saved is to be set free from
bondage to sin and Satan and to be
delivered from the wrath of God.
“F
or thine is the kingdom, and the
“For

ever
er..
Amen.”
The Lord’s Prayer concludes with this
marvelous doxology. The focal point is
on God:
“Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,” then the focal
point shifts to God’s
salvation program in the world and in
my heart, which is all through Christ.
The Lord’s Prayer is a magnificent
prayer for mankind who desperately
needs salvation. Jesus tells us how to
pray. We are dead in our sins, and we
are destined for destruction. Christ tells
us in this beautiful prayer how we
should seek salvation. And we see that
all of the glory throughout eternity goes
to God.
This is a lesson taken from the booklet,
“Lord, Teach Us To Pray,” by Harold
Camping. A complete copy of the
booklet is available free, by calling:

Susanna Landis, Family Radio’s Music
Librarian and Programming Secretary,
went home to be with the Lord on
August 20, 2014.
A co- laborer in Christ, Susanna faithfully
served the Lord at Family Radio’s
headquarters in Oakland, California, for
18 years. Susanna enjoyed coming to the
offices where she would greet everyone
with a smile and a cheerful hello, come
what may! She was a true delight and a
great encourager to many of her coworkers and many listeners that had the
pleasure of speaking with her either in
person, on the phone, or through e-mail.
Our Lord used Susanna in so many ways
at Family Radio, including as a co-host of
the program, “Prayertime,” sharing prayer
requests from our listeners over the air.

Many of the staff had much to say about
Susanna: Valeria Bartlow from the
Duplicating Department had this to say:
“Oh, the smiles and silver hair with a nice
style to it!.. I will miss seeing her around
here at Family Radio. Susanna is a
woman who made everybody feel
welcomed who came in contact with her.
She was full of laughter and loved her
family.” Alan Thayer, host of “Music to
Live By” weekday afternoons, shared,
“One of the most impactful memories I
have of Susanna Landis in the Music
Department is directly related to her
response to listeners calling for more
information on the beautiful music we
air. She was always joyful on the phone,
eager to provide our listeners with the
information they were looking for, and
radiated her joy of knowing the Savior.
In fact, her sign-off line in all her written
correspondence with listeners was,

air. Pray for our Lord’s protection and
safety for our staff, and that any problems

Family Radio has recently launched a new
Web site at www.familyradio.org. Pray
that our Lord would use our presence on
the Internet to bless, encourage, build-up,
and save, those who visit it. Each month,
thousands of visitors from all over the
world are logging-on to our site. We praise
God for this tremendous opportunity to
be a witness for Him.
New programs like “Issues and Answers,”
and features like, “The Mid-East News
Report,” with Brian Bush, and “Family
Connection,” have been added to our
schedule. Pray that our Lord would bless,
and use these new additions, as well as
our current programs, to minister to those
who are receiving them, to God’s glory!
Your continued prayers would be
appreciated for our staff — particularly
our technicians who service our stations.
They are called throughout the day and
night to handle any technical problems
We thank and praise God for His goodness
and mercy, in that He allows us to
continue to proclaim His Word — in our
homes, in our neighborhoods, across our
country, and around the world! Thank the
Lord that it is still the day of salvation!

‘Joyfully serving Him.’ That wonderfully
sums up the love she had for her work and
for serving our listeners, and ultimately, our
dear Lord!” Tom Evans, Family Radio’s
president and general manager, remembers
Susanna as a breath of fresh air, sharing, “For
those of us here at Family Radio, we will also
grieve the loss of Susanna. We will greatly
miss her smile and encouragement. We are
all in agreement that Susanna was a ‘breath
of fresh air’ and it truly has been a pleasure
being in her presence. She will, ‘Forever be
in our hearts!’”
