energized, communicating and doing our best to serve and
please our members.
I was so thrilled with some of our members that have come out
to help beautify our tennis courts before the league season began. Thanks to the following: Sam Vendemia, Gary Sibley,
Sandy Allen, Jeannie Parsons, Jim Hester and Laurie Mooney for
help on the flyer. Sorry, if I missed anyone.
Namaste and good day to all board members and club members.
The board members have hired Eric Dove as the new tennis
director at Courtside and I am looking forward to working together with Eric here at Courtside. Congratulations to Eric and
please give him a warm welcome when he joins us.
I am still holding down the fort as your interim tennis director
until Eric’s arrival. I have worked at this club for almost 9 years
and plan to continue on as it has been a very family friendly and
fun place for me to work. I am very excited to continue because my son Ryan was 5 years old when I began to teach here
and this is a place that he has a true feeling of comfort as well.
He currently attends Pine View which is a top rated school in
the state and nation and is a 4.0 + level in tennis. He’s been a
great role model for our Courtside Junior Program and he’s
been a great help to me during the Friday Junior Program.
Ryan also plays USTA tournaments, which also helps get some
great publicity for Courtside, as coaches and parents always ask
where Ryan trains. Julie, my wife, and I are truly blessed to
have such a wonderful son.
We call Florida the Sunshine State and I feel that Sue, Michelle
and Leon are our “Sunshine Staff”. They are always willing to
help and they do it with a smile on their faces. We are all
Please mark your calendar for November 14th to come out and
take part in the Snowbird Welcome Back party and a farewell to
Jim Dempsey at Courtside. The tennis round robin @ 9:30 and
BBQ at noonish. The profits and proceeds will go directly to
our club. Please make sure to buy 50/50 drawing tickets too!
The tennis league is in full swing here at Courtside. Captains, if
you have any changes in your league schedule, please let us know
as soon as possible. Some teams are doing team clinics with me
and those who are not, please know that I am here to help give
suggestions as far as your line-up goes.
Due to the league season and match plays going on past 3pm, we
are going to water the courts in the afternoon. So, if you are
planning on coming to play, please call ahead so we can arrange
the watering schedule accordingly.
Thank you,
Ace Chandra
SPECIAL THANKS
My sincere thanks go out to Sam Vendemia and Gary
Sibley for the excellent (and difficult) work that they performed
in hand scarifying around the fences and nets on courts 1-9.
These two members have worked long and hard to remediate
the mold situation on these courts.
Jim Flynn
Thanks to all who advertise with us. We appreciate your business.
