Constable 3 Newsletter Sally Hernandez, Travis County Constable Precinct 3 August 2013 Volume 1, Issue 7 Mission, Vision, Values Mission Our mission is to serve all civil and court documents with the utmost professionalism and integrity. We also strive to build coalitions with neighborhoods and collaborate on safer communities, which uphold and enhance our high quality of life in Southwest Travis County. Message from Sally If you have been reading past newsletters from this office, I have spoken of our Child ID program and the Senior Fraud Prevention and Neighborhood Watch initiatives. In short, I want you to know that I have instituted a new focus of our office’s community service– Crime Prevention. Vision The Child ID program has been around for a few years, and it’s main emphasis was fingerprinting your child(-ren) in case something happens. We still offer this service, but now, we have added another layer– prevention tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. We envision a true partnership with the community that respects the diverse nature of our residents. Pro-actively seeking truthful and open two-way communication will be the start of our collaboration and continue throughout our relationship. Values Our core beliefs of honesty, fairness, and respect ensure that we are committed to the highest performance standards, ethical conduct, and compassion in all relationships with the Public. In this issue: Prevention is a highly cost-effective alternative to the costs of crime to Constable Sally Hernandez individuals, neighborhoods, and communities. This is the reason why this office is starting a Senior Fraud Prevention Program (hopefully starting in November!) and expanding Neighborhood Watch Programs across Precinct 3 (starting in September). August begins another school year. Good luck to all students and teachers! Remember, it is unlawful to use your mobile phone in a school zone. - Message from Sally - Your Constable’s Office at Work 1 - Constable 3 contact information - Get To Know Your Constable 3 Staffers 2 - Pictures 3 - Vehicle ID Number Etching Program 4 Your Constable’s Office at Work UPCOMING EVENTS! 1.
