Everyone will learn about the life of a plant from the seed to the flower, the ever-changing seasons, the differences between fruits and vegetables as well as some of the different varieties and uses for them. Your entire group will enjoy a vintage tractor-drawn wagon ride around the farm. The tractor will stop in the fields for the group to get their "prize pickings" to take home. After enjoying snacks or a sack lunch in one of our shaded picnic areas, the group will be able to visit the friendly residents of our Farm Animal Center including horses, cows, pigs, goats, and rabbits - just to name a few. Before the tour comes to a close, the teacher will be given a farm activity coloring book for every child. Approximately 2½ hours including Picnic and Farm Animal Center. Produce Picking Tours Animal Ed-Venture Tour The Produce Picking Tours start with a vintage tractor-drawn wagon ride around the farm. The tractor will stop in the fields for the group to get their "prize pickings" to take home. After enjoying snacks or a sack lunch in one of our shaded picnic areas, the group will be able to visit the friendly residents of our Farm Animal Center including horses, cows, pigs, goats, and rabbits, just to name a few. The Animal Ed-Venture Tour starts with a 1-hour live animal presentation from the farmer in our Animal Show Classroom. Everyone will learn about the characteristics and behaviors of some of the different farm animals including rats, chickens, rabbits, goats, and ducks and their importance on the farm. The entire group will enjoy a vintage tractordrawn wagon ride around the farm where they will see everything that is growing at that particular time. After enjoying snacks or a sack lunch in one of our shaded picnic areas, the group will be guided through the Farm Animal Center where they will be able to pet and feed some of the friendly residents including horses, cows, pigs, goats and rabbits, just to name a few. Before the tour comes to a close, the teacher will be given a farm activity coloring book for every child. Approximately 2 hours including picnic and Farm Animal Center. Please wait for the guide before you unload your bus. Cancellation Request Please contact us ASAP if you need to change your tour. Otherwise, a guide will be waiting for your arrival.
