DAY 2 MILAN SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide takes you on a walking tour of Milan.
View the sights of the city including the Gothic Cathedral, the
glass-domed Galleria and La Scala Opera House. Enjoy free time
this afternoon to visit a museum or perhaps consider an optional
excursion to Sforza Castle. (BB)
DAY 3 MILAN − BAVENO (2 NIGHTS) N I l
Drive north-west to the Italian Lake District. Found on the southern
side of the Alps, Lake Maggiore is one of the most famous sights in
Lombardy and is known for its beautiful waters and picturesque views.
Enjoy an included visit to the beautiful botanical gardens of Villa
Taranto. See azalea, maple, rhododendron and camellia avenues, rare
lilies and gardens containing over 300 varieties of dahlias. You will have
free time here for lunch. Later, stop to view the sights of Stresa on the
shores of the lake before checking in to your hotel for a two night stay.

Stop in Genoa, birthplace of Columbus, for an included guided walking
tour with an expert Local Guide. View some of the majestic Renaissance
and Baroque palaces of the noble families of Genoa and visit Via
Garibaldi which is inscribed in the list of UNESCO World Heritage
Sites. Stop in Santa Margherita for free time. Consider taking a short
boat cruise excursion to Portofino (subject to weather conditions). Later,

DAY 7 LA SPEZIA − LANGHIRANO - PARMA I
Enjoy a relaxing start to the day as you drive towards Parma
stopping in a small town called Langhirano. Here you will visit the
Museum of Prosciutto di Parma and hear about this gastronomic
delicacy which is famous the world over. Stop to take a picture of
the castle at Torrechiara before arriving in Parma for free time. This
evening consider taking an excursion for a gourmet dinner. (BB)

Today you will be able to enjoy another gastronomic product
from the region. Stop in the small town of Soragna to visit Museo
del Parmigiano-Reggiano to discover the history and process
involved in the manufacture of this popular cheese. Later you
will visit Fidenza Village. This is a pleasant and elegant outlet
shopping environment which offers more than 100 boutiques
waiting to provide a fine selection of the best fashion and
accessories brands including Armani, Dolce and Gabbana and
Valentino. This afternoon you will stop at the famous Carthusian
Monastery Certosa di Pavia to admire the gothic and renaissance
architecture of this monastic complex. Tonight enjoy a Farewell
