Billing Cycle Start Date This indicates when your billing cycle starts. Tiered Billing Format Flat: Means the rate stays the same no matter the time. For instance, if your rate is $.12/kWh, it will be at that rate throughout the season. Tiered: Some utility companies charge you based on how much energy you consume. If you consume more your price per kWh will change to the new rate. TOU: This type of billing charges you based on what time of day you are consuming energy. Specify the kW range and each range’s respective $ charge. The number of tiers is generated by the number indicated on the previous screen. TOU No. of Seasons: Are there points during the year when these charges change? You can specifiy up to four seasons. Clicking on the ‘From’ and ‘To’ will pop up a time selection window. You can specify the rate for these times under $/kW. Monthly Electric Cost: How much do you expect to spend this month? No. of Tiers/TOU Rates: (When Tier is selected): Indicates the number of price tiers or TOU rates (this is used in the following screen) Click on the arrow (top right) to edit advanced details... Additional Charges Specify the values of additional charges under the agreement made with your utility provider. You can restrict TOU rates from taking effect under certain circumstances, by checking respective markers. Outside Weather Make sure you are connected to your wireless network and that you’ve entered your zip code into the contact page in Setup. If you indicated more than one season, make sure take note of the season your editing! (Seasons are tabbed at the top of the screen) 5 6 Energy The Demand Sub Tab The Basic Sub Tab The home screen’s Energy tab allows you to see detailed both numerical tabulations of your data and graphical representation of your energy usage. The Basic Sub Tab delivers the most important, quantified statistics about your energy consumption and costs. Information is categorized in present and monthly columns. A B A: Daily bar chart This chart shows you your accumulated daily energy consumption during the previous five days. This graph allows you to keep track of what your daily trends are. B: Load by Load Chart This chart shows you energy consumption per load during a 24 hour period. Total energy consumption is represented in red with its numerical kw value to the left of the chart. Branch loads are color coded with numerical kw values to the right of the chart. Colors are linked with load names above the graph. Clicking the arrow allows you to see loads 5-8, 9-12...etc. HINT Naming your loads In Setup, Under ‘Connections’, you can edit the properties of your GM devices and it’s loads. Just highlight your GM and click on the arrow that appears to edit it’s loads. 7 Present Voltage V: Current voltage coming into the building. Power KW: (Voltage x Current) coming into the building. Pricing Tier: How your utility company is charging you for your energy use. You can define this value under “Utility” in the Setup Tab. Power Factor: The ratio of the real power flowing to the load compared to the apparent power in the circuit. Range is from 0 - 1. Electrical utilities will usually charge a higher cost to industrial or commercial customers where there is a low power factor below 1. Electricity Used Today: Gives you your current daily energy usage total in both kW and dollars. Monthly Average Daily Power: Averages your kW consumption for every day of the month already passed. Projected kWh : The system’s expectation of total kWh usage for the current month based on your usage so far. Projected $ : The system’s expectation of total cost of energy usage for the current month based on your usage so far. 8 Detail Sub Tab The Detail Sub Tab delivers more specific Energy consumption details. Like the Basic subtab, information is categorized as either Present or Monthly. Present Power Input Name: The name of your power input defined in the GM properties. Daily Min kW: Your energy consumption rate at its lowest point. Daily Max kW: Your energy consumption rate at its highest point. Current kW: What you are consuming right now. Electricity Used Today: What you have consumed today. Electricity Used During Peak Usage: What you consumed at your peak usage. (Peak usage is the moment you consumed the most amount of energy) Utility Rate $:How much you are being charged per kW in dollars. Alerts On the device: When the system detects an issue, it will pop up a message on the device. Simply press OK to go back to your home screen. The alarm is still active in the Alarms Tab. Alarms that you have not acknowledged appear in red. To acknowledge a message, simply select it and hit “Clear Alarms”. The messages selected will turn green. You can remove it permantely by selecting it and hitting “Delete”. On the web: Entouchme.com enhances the capabilities of alarms by offering alarms and reminders that are sent through email and text message notifications. These alarms include: Filter change reminder, UV bulb change reminders and humidity pad change reminders. Monthly Cumulative Cost $: What you have consumed during this month. Expressed in dollars. Cumulative Energy : The total amount of kW consumed during this month. Average Daily kWh : The average daily energy usage for the month. High Voltage : The average daily energy usage for the month. Low Voltage : The average daily energy usage for the month. 9 10 Home Screen Operation EnTouch ME You can go online through a web browser to view and set energy and HVAC operations. 2 1 B First Steps Changing the Temperature (1) Clicking on the arrow up and down buttons will allow you to quickly set a heat or a cool hold. By default, the hold will be set to temporary (where it will stay in hold mode for the day). (B) You can change the hold duration by clicking on the hold button that appears below the arrow buttons. Change this value to “Permanent” (where it will stay in hold mode forever unless cancelled). Monitoring your bucket (2) Track-A Budget works by allowing you to monitor your energy consumption based on what you are expected to consume at the beginning of the month. If your bucket is filled with green water, then you are on track or doing better than expected. Keep it up! If your bucket is filled with yellow water, then you are off track a little. Try to change your habits in order to conserve energy. (Changing by 1 degree will make a significant change) If your bucket is filled with red water, then you are way off track. Either your target energy usage for the month was unrealistic or there is something wrong with your equipment. Go online to Entouchme.com You will need to click on Register, if this is your first time. Registering will require that you input some contact information as well as an access code. This access code prevents unauthorized access to your device. The access code is shipped with your device.
