Carnevale On the last day of term, Friday the 24th of June, we will be celebrating “Carnevale”. Carnevale is an Italian celebration which is usually held before Easter to mark the beginning of Lent and the arrival of Spring. Our Carnevale will celebrate the end of first semester. In the Carnevale tradition we would like students to dress in fancy dress (Italian theme if possible) and wear a mask to disguise themselves. To find out more and see our pictures from last year’s Carnevale: visit our Italiano blog: http://cnpsitaliano.weebly.com/questa-settimana.html Italiano Competition Feel like getting creative for the 2016 CNPS ‘Carnevale’? We are having a ‘Le maschere delle Carnevale’ (Masks of Carnevale) competition. Design or make your own ‘maschera’ (mask) for display at school during Carnevale. You can submit the mask, a design of a mask on a poster, or a photo of you wearing the mask you have created for Carnevale. Give your entry to signora Jackie, signora Sarah, or Elisabetta or pop it in the box in the library. Remember to include your name and class on your entry. Please submit your entry by Wednesday 22 June. Winners will be announced during Carnevale on Friday 24 June 2016. Prizes will be awarded for the best entries. Please go to the Italiano blog for examples of masks, templates and more information: http://cnpsitaliano.weebly.com/questa-settimana.html 2 10/06/2016 BUNNINGS BBQ Thanks to everyone for their support at last week's Bunnings barbecue.
