ABOUT QAL-100
Unique worldwide-patented formula, QAL-100, has three active substances: Lipoic Acid, Acetyl carnitine, and
Coenzyme Q10.
Lipoic Acid (Thiotic Acid) is a vitamin-like substance consisting of very small molecules that help it to work
with your skin. With anti-oxidants, vitamin E and C, lipoic acid contributes to keeping the skin lustrous with an
invigorating effect against wrinkles.
Acetyl Carnitine is an amino acid-like and a Vitamin B-like substance, which is built from carnitine. Acetyl
carnitine increases the effect of the lipoic acid and helps the skin cell’s energy production for that fresh-faced
feeling.
Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinome) is naturally found in skin. Unfortunately, the body’s own production decreases

The Randomized, placebo-controlled, double blind study on the clinical efficacy of a cream containing 5% a-lipoic
acid related to photoageing of facial skin studied how effective alpha lipoic acid is as an anti-aging substance,
compared to other creams lacking alpha lipoic acid. 33 women, averaging 54 years of age used the cream
containing alpha lipoic acid twice daily for 12 weeks. The study showed a significant decrease in skin roughness
and wrinkle depth.

The Photoaging: Mechanisms and repair studied the effects of sun exposure on pigmentation and CoEnzyme
Q10’s and alpha lipoic acid’s ability to reduce the appearance of these effects. The study found that the use of
CoEnzyme Q10 in cream led to significant reduction in wrinkle measurements. The study also found that treatment
with alpha lipoic acid led to significant improvements in appearances of aging (i.e. wrinkle depth, pore size).
