Your Bid Number appears on your bid paddle and your nametag. Values are estimates of the donors; not warranted for tax purposes or for general value. Purchasers are bound by the restrictions set by the donors. All sales are final, and there is no exchange or refund of items, unless otherwise specified. Items should be redeemed and services should be as specified in the gift certificate. For services, condos or trips, the winning bidder should contact the donor immediately to make arrangements. The committee has done its best to describe items accurately. Everything is sold as is. Payment may be made to the cashier by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Silent auction, live auction and raffle purchases generally are not considered tax deductible contributions. Guests need to consult their tax professional regarding these items. At closing, items may only be picked up at the claim area with a paid receipt. All items MUST be removed from the Western Reserve Historical Society this evening. Beaumont School is not responsible for items not claimed. Silent Auction Rules Items may have bid sheets nearby. Your bid number is found on your nametag. Bids may be placed by printing your bid number and amount bid on the first available line on the bid sheet. Bidding is placed by number only. Check your number for accuracy. Opening bids must equal or exceed the “minimum bid” shown on the bid sheet. The opening bid may not be changed except by authorized Beaumont cashiers. Bid increases not equaling or exceeding the “minimum raise” on the bid sheet will be discarded. No bid sheets are to be removed from the auction tables. All Silent Auction tables will open from 6:30 p.m. and will close in two intervals beginning approximately 7:45 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. Terms and Conditions of Tonight’s Live Auction Upon registration, the buyer agrees to bid and agree to the terms and conditions of this sale. A sale by auction is complete when the auctioneer so announces in the customary manner of “SOLD.” Buyers are responsible for their purchases when the auctioneer says “SOLD.” The final and winning bid at an auction is an oral contract and is legally binding. All items sold “AS IS WHERE IS” with all faults. No warranties of any kind. All sales are final. Neither the auctioneer nor the seller makes any warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to property or its value, and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance, authenticity, authorship, completeness, and condition of property or estimate of value. All purchase items or pledges must be paid in full on this day, Saturday, March 28, 2015 BEFORE the buyer leaves the premises with the item. Auctioneer is acting as agent only. All responsibilities and guarantees are between buyers and seller. Announcements or statements made by auctioneer on the day of auction take precedence over printed matter. The auctioneer’s decision is final. Winning silent auction items will only be collected upon full payment following the conclusion of the gala. You are responsible for your account number and for any checks written for payment. Payment terms are cash, check or credit card only. Drawn from seven centuries of maps held in The National Archives at Kew, near London, this superb selection spans maps found in medieval manuscripts, early estate maps, sea charts, maps used in military campaigns and maps from treaties.
