Terms and Conditions of Tonight’s Live Auction
Upon registration, the buyer agrees to bid and agree to the terms and conditions of
this sale. A sale by auction is complete when the auctioneer so announces in the
customary manner of “SOLD.” Buyers are responsible for their purchases when the
auctioneer says “SOLD.” The final and winning bid at an auction is an oral contract
and is legally binding. All items sold “AS IS WHERE IS” with all faults. No
warranties of any kind. All sales are final. Neither the auctioneer nor the seller makes
any warranties or representations of any kind or nature with respect to property or
its value, and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of description,
genuineness, attribution, provenance, authenticity, authorship, completeness, and
condition of property or estimate of value.
All purchase items or pledges must be paid in full on this day, Saturday, March 28,
2015 BEFORE the buyer leaves the premises with the item. Auctioneer is acting as
agent only. All responsibilities and guarantees are between buyers and seller.
Announcements or statements made by auctioneer on the day of auction take
precedence over printed matter. The auctioneer’s decision is final. Winning silent
auction items will only be collected upon full payment following the conclusion of
the gala.
You are responsible for your account number and for any checks written for
payment. Payment terms are cash, check or credit card only.

5020 See the World
at least from your living room when you open this
beautifully illustrated book, Maps: Their Untold
Stories. A map is a snapshot of a place, a city, a nation
or even the world at a given point in time. Maps have
much to tell us about the way our ancestors saw
themselves and their place in the world. Drawn from
seven centuries of maps held in The National Archives
at Kew, near London, this superb selection spans
maps found in medieval manuscripts, early estate
maps, sea charts, maps used in military campaigns and
maps from treaties. The text explores who the
mapmakers were, the purpose for which the maps
were made, and what they tell us about the politics of
the time.

Blue, green and all shades in between reflect and illume
the watercolor tones of sun-drenched seas in this
stunning example of Murano glass. Renowned for
exceptional glass-working techniques, Murano artists
press layers of hot molten glass into a single piece of
glass that is then molded with graceful angles and
organic rim. A special finish is applied and fired at high

7011 Vase from MM Pottery
7014 "Erie Shoreline"
Michael Maquire uses his pottery to explore shapes
and textures. Before shaping, the clay is often rolled in
birch bark or various cloths with textures, such as
placemats. He uses glazes that respond to the textures
with movement thus giving definition and shape to the
piece. Michael feels that pottery is also a way of
giving. He donates all proceeds of his personal sales
to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. He
participated in the Beaumont Sip and Shop this year

8001 Oriental Rug
8' x 10'. New Zealand wool pile, cotton warp and weft,
Swiss Chrome dyes used to color the wool used in the
pile. Handknotted in India under the supervision of an
American Oriental Rug importer, the design and coloration of this piece is the work of Tom Franklin, one of
the more talented designers in the Oriental Rug industry during the late 1990's. Tom used hard twisted wool
to create the look of a natural dyed older Oriental rug,
hence the striae in the coloration.
The design was adapted from traditional village carpets
of central Turkey; Tom used this traditional design and
then contemporized the color palette to appeal to
American consumers. Tightly knotted, this Oriental
rug given proper care will not look noticeably different
in twenty years
