KAMCHATKA
IS A LEGENDARY PENINSULA,
situated at the extreme
east of Siberia. Sandwiched
between the Okhotsk Sea
to the west and the
Bering Straits to the east,
this vast region was for
a long time a forbidden
military zone, not marked
on any maps.
Since the 1990’s it has been
possible to access this 370
000 km2 territory (two thirds
the size of France)
to find an unspoilt
wilderness, designated a
«World Heritage Site by
UNESCO» in 1996.
Kamchatka is home to 10% of
the planet’s volcanoes, some
of which are extremely active.
At 4750m, the Klychevskaya
volcano is the highest summit
in Kamchatka and Siberia. !
This unique natural reserve
is also home to the biggest
brown bears in the world.
They are particularly fond of
the thousands of salmon
found in the rivers during
their yearly migration.
Human presence is restricted
to a few towns and villages :
two thirds of the population
(460 000 habitants) live in
the capital city of
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Morning: Arrival at the airport
in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
where you’ll be met by a guide
from our team, transferred to
the hotel
in our private bus and
welcomed at the hotel with a

HELICOPTER BASE
The base is front of the hotel,
2 min walking. The helicopters
that we use are chartered
from privates company, Vitiaz
Aero and Kamchatka Airlines,
who guarantee the upkeep
and maintenance
of these helicopters in line
with International standards.
ANTARIUS HOTEL HHH
During your stay
in Kamchatka you’ll be staying
at the hotel Antarius.
Recently built, this HHH hotel
is maintained to European
standard.
SITUATION
The hotel is in a quiet sector
in the Paratunka valley,
which is also known as the
Valley of the Thermal Springs.
The hotel Antarius is situated
20 minutes away from the
small village of Elizovo,
30 minutes away from the
airport and 45 minutes from
Petropavlovsk, (250 000
inhabitants) Kamchatka’s
principal city.
FACILITIES
It has an outdoor swimming
pool, which is naturally
heated, as is the
rest of the hotel, by the hotel’s
own thermal springs.
All the bedrooms are
spacious and have en-suite
bathrooms.
LEISURE TIME
The hotel has a restaurant,
bar, pool table, sauna,
massage rooms,
and a multi-media television
room with wifi connection.
MEALS
Breakfast is eaten
in the hotel restaurant.
At lunch-time,
during heli-ski days,
the hotel provides a picnic
made from local specialities.
In the evening you have
the choice of eating
at the hotel,
or try out the restaurants
in Elizovo or Petropavlovsk.

The helicopters that we use
are chartered from a private
company, Kamchatka Airlines,

helicopters in line with

The flight team, for this
20 passenger helicopter
is made up of two pilots and
a flight engineer.
Our pilots have many years
experience flying
in the mountains and
have been working with us
for many years.
They have proven their
capabilities on numerous
flights and have shown
their aptitude for taking
wise decisions in uncertain
weather conditions.
FLIGHT TIME
In contrast to other Heli-ski
companies who base their
flight time on the vertical
meters skied, WE PREFER
TO BASE OUR CALCULATIONS
ON ACTUAL FLIGHT TIME.
Not only is this method better
for you, closer to the reality
of the costs, but it also allows
us freedom to adapt
our program depending
on conditions, giving us
the possibility to explore
the best sites.
So a good day will give you
7 000 to 10 000 meters
of vertical descent for around
2h30 of flight time !
The flight time allocated
for each trip is based on the
average number of hours
used throughout each trip
during the season.
If the weather conditions
do not allow you to use
all these hours, we will
reimburse you for each
hour unused.

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER
If the helicopter is unable to
take off due to bad weather,
we can offer you
the following activities:
• Ski touring or skiing
in neighboring resorts
• Dog sledding
• Skidoo trips
• Swimming in the nearby
thermal pools
• A visit to Petropavlovsk,
its museums and markets
• Other outdoor activities
available near by, include,
sea kayaking, white water
rafting etc.
