(Hons.), MD, CCFP, FCFP Learning Objectives At the end of this session, the learner will be able to: 1. Describe the current changes in competency based medical education. 2. Identify competency assessment tools and outline how they impact the training of residents. Dr. M. Ravalia Dr. Karen Schultz, BSc, CCFP, FCFP is the Program Director for the Department of Family Medicine, an Associate Professor at Queen’s University and a Family Physician in Kingston, ON. Her research interests center around medical education. She has received grants looking at how to enhance learning in the ambulatory care setting, what continuity of care means to practicing Family Physicians, and most recently the educational equity across the four different sites within the Queen’s Family Medicine Program and competency assessment in the Family Medicine Setting.
