SEPTEMBER 24 Sunny Crownover with the Duke Robillard Band Sunny Crownover is a critically acclaimed blues and jazz vocalist, and voting member of the Recording Academy. Duke Robillard is an internationally renowned guitarist of blues, jazz, and roots music. Together with The Duke Robillard Band, Sunny and Duke have collaborated for the last eight years, producing Grammy nominated music and gaining fans from all around the world. They plan to perform selections from their various recordings including Sunny's debut solo CD "Right Here, Right Now". An energetic night of music with appeal to all ages—sure to sell out! NOVEMBER 12 Rosemary's Baby Blues Rosemary's Baby Blues is a high energy ROCKIN' R&B/Blues Band that keeps you moving and grooving all night long. Their new CD On Time and Feelin' Fine showcases a diverse, multi-talented and unique sound backed by strong vocals, electrifying guitar, pulsing bass and drums, and is punctuated by the powerhouse RBB horns. Their music is current and classic ranging from Delbert McClinton and JD McPherson to Freddy King, Little Feat and Muddy Waters. Consistently rocking the New England music scene since 2009, this group of seasoned musicians continues to build their fan base at clubs and festivals. Their passion and joy for playing music is contagiously shared on stage in EVERY performance. Recent venues include Onset Blues Festival, NH State Fair and Johnny D’s. This event is not to be missed! FEBRUARY 4 The Love Dogs Back by overwhelming demand, The Love Dogs are making their winter appearance in town! Take one red hot horn section-we’re talkin’ alto, tenor, baritone saxes and trombone-down and dirty. Add liberal amounts of barrelhouse boogie woogie piano and stinging Fender guitar. Pour over a funky swinging rhythm section that Blues Review magazine called “the best in the business” and top it all off with a charismatic front man with one of the biggest blues voices around! This show sells out—don’t wait to order tickets! Tickets: (978) 692-6333 or westford.org/pca Jazz Concert Series BYO drinks and dinner. Café-style seating. All concerts on Saturdays. Tickets: $18 Members/ $20 Non-Members /$5 Teens Doors open at 7:00 PM. Shows start at 7:30 PM. NOVEMBER 19 Cassandre McKinley Trio Cassandre McKinley has a vocal style that walks the line between jazz and soul – a voice that is commanding, vibrant and rich with “chops” to spare. But she’s no diva – she’ll condently and easily weave her way through The American Songbook and soul classics alike, singing with the maturity and wisdom of a veteran performer, she will stop to tell you a story – unwittingly disarming you like the girl next door. Visit www.cassandremckinley.com for more info FEBRUARY 18 Gypsy Jazz The Rhythm Future Quartet The acoustic jazz ensemble, The Rhythm Future Quartet has a straightforward agenda: to keep the spirit of Gypsy jazz alive and expanding in today’s musical universe. The virtuosic foursome, named for a Django Reinhardt tune, offers up a newly minted sound, inuenced by the classic Hot Club of France, yet wholly contemporary. Led by violinist Jason Anick and guitarist Olli Soikkeli, the quartet performs dynamic and lyrical arrangements of both Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions that draw upon diverse international rhythms and musical idioms. With Max O’Rourke on second guitar and Greg Loughman on bass, Rhythm Future is dedicated to expanding the boundaries of a vital musical genre.
