Out of the hundreds, if not thousands of fascinations that I have delved into, nothing else in my life comes to me as effortlessly as the topics of spirituality & philosophy. There is so much that I have experienced and realized so far, in the short amount of time I have been on Earth. Because of that, I have a burning desire to share my unique perspective with the entire world to help empower others, and to change the current paradigm of this society. In order for me to accomplish this, I must help others through their transition in their spiritual evolution. The first phase of this evolution is called an awakening. In this book, you will learn what an awakening is, and discover ways how you can initiate the process inside of yourself. My Personal Story When I look back at my life now, all the signs are there. It is crystal clear that this specific life journey that I am embarking upon was inevitable. When I was around the tender age of 7, I had my very first spiritually enlightening experience. I used to sit on the floor in the living room, and stare at the carpet for minutes at a time. I focused all my attention on the concept of existence, and then a huge burst of awareness would always abundantly fill my consciousness. At the time, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but I loved that feeling. No one had taught me anything about meditation (what I believe I was doing intuitively), and no one had introduced me to these abstract ideas of existence that I was intrigued with. I tried to understand and grasp the concept of how do I exist in this present moment, while consciously experiencing reality with all of my senses, but a few years prior 3 to that, I had no way of experiencing this reality. I was taunted by the idea that before I was born, I was “nothing”, but I did not want to believe that. Despite the very “Buddha-like” experience I had, I was raised as a Christian. Ever since I was a child, I knew the importance of the divine, and my personal relationship with the divine. My Mother, Aunts, Uncles, and especially my Grandmother had taught me everything I needed to know to live a righteous life to ensure I was worthy enough to make it into Heaven. It’s safe to say, being that I was brought up in that type of religious lifestyle, I was somewhat molded and conditioned by that specific belief system, until recently, when my world was shaken up quite a bit. Now, before I continue, I just want to say that even though I was conditioned to a certain belief system as a child, I have no ill-will or negative views on that particular paradigm. To be honest, in essence, I still believe in the same things, but just in a very different way now. You may soon find out what exactly I mean on your own personal journey if you do not yet understand. Anyway, my entire perception on life started to slowly shift around the year 2012 (how convenient huh?). During this time, I had started doing business in network marketing, and met some very spiritual, inspirational, and driven young entrepreneurs that I resonated with. To be honest, I really didn’t resonate with them at first, because in my reality, I have never met a bunch of people that were as positive as they were. It seemed weird to me at first, and kind of made me a little uncomfortable. They would talk about things that seemed to go against my beliefs, such as chakras, astrology, and numerology. It was very scary for me to even entertain the thoughts that they were discussing. 4 A few months immersed into this new culture, I started to slowly entertain the thoughts of these unfamiliar philosophies I was being introduced to. I am naturally open minded, but I still had some resistance to these new ideas. One of the people I met during this time was responsible for a huge part of my awakening, because he had a way of explaining these far-fetched ideas to me in ways that just made sense. He also pointed me in the direction of what things to research online to become more familiar with this spiritual way of seeing the universe. That’s what did it! Countless hours of research online brought me from being completely skeptical and detached to this way of life, to being on the fence about it. The only reason why I was investing so much time into this subject is because I looked up to these people in a certain way. There was a certain type of energy that these young adults carried, and I wanted to emit that same type of positive, cool vibe. More months pass by, and I’m no longer on the fence about altering my belief system. There was still a lot of resistance in me. I also had the feeling of extreme guilt that I felt in my heart, because I felt as if I was going against my Christian upbringing. There was many times where I feared I might end up in Hell because of my curiosity. In my heart, all I wanted to do was expand my mind to learn more, but I didn’t want to be punished for “digging too deep”. I know a few religious communities that believe that it is blasphemous to question or research anything that is not of their specific beliefs. That is all I can think about while I was doing my own research on other religions, and spiritual philosophies. I was so interested in this because, I started to realize how all the religions and spiritual philosophies I was researching was all the same in essence. They were all speaking of the same truth, but in different ways. It was crystal clear to me, and it blew my mind how I was so blind before, and how most people can’t and don’t draw the connections. 5 One day, I was fed up. I have seen enough, and I have made up my mind for the most part. After my internal battle with my guilt and resistance, I decided that this new way of life made a lot more sense to me. That night, I prayed a very heartfelt prayer. At that point in time, I have never put so much raw emotion into anything, let alone a prayer. I prayed and asked if I was on the right or wrong path. I specifically asked for a sign on what path I should be on. Because I have genuine, good intentions, I feared going down a dark road while trying to legitimately find my way to the light. After my prayer, I went right to sleep. Hours later, I wake up. In my mind it was a normal morning, and last night’s prayer wasn’t on my mind at all, until I was blatantly reminded by a sign sent from the divine! My Grandmother, the one who was a huge part of my religious relationship with God, had graduated from Earth (passed away) about 10 years before this experience. I always kept this specific card that was given to everyone that attended her funeral. I kept this card on my wall right next to my calendar. After a while, usually the things you keep on your walls as decorations will get subconscious attention, but we don’t tend to consciously pay attention to it day by day after it’s been there for a while. This morning was very different. For some reason, I locked my eyes on it, and was immediately drawn to this card. I walked over and read the quote that was printed on the card. In that exact moment, I KNEW that my prayer had been answered. That was my sign! The card read, “Each one reaches Heaven by climbing his own particular stairway.” I cannot even begin to describe the feeling I got immediately after reading this. I knew that no matter what I have researched, or will continue to research, as long as I stay true to my heart and genuine, good intentions, I will reach “heaven”. My “staircase”, or my path may be very different compared to the mass majority of people in this world, but I have since found out that we all align ourselves with the divine when we genuinely seek 6 truth within ourselves. At that exact moment, I was at the peak of my awakening. I let go of all my fear. I let go of all my resistance, and since then, my growth as a person, spiritual being, entrepreneur, artist...literally every aspect of my life has been expanding at a phenomenal rate. If you haven’t done so already...It’s time to awaken your awakening! What Is An Awakening? First of all, a spiritual awakening may mean different things to different people. I am only here to share what I have realized on my very own unique journey. To me, an awakening is your own realization of broadening your perception of your reality. For instance, if you start to see the world differently, and you notice that you are now having an enhanced perception on what is, then you have awakened. An awakening has nothing to do with being right/wrong, or true/false, because that is based on a subjective perspective. Two different people can have a spiritual awakening, even if one believes in a God, and the other one doesn’t. Key Traits Of An Awakening • Loss of Interest in Anything Feeding the Illusion (See “Dealing With the Illusion”) • Naturally Losing Touch with Friends That Dwell in the illusion 7 • Shift in Dietary Lifestyle • Changes in Preference For Music, Movies, TV Shows, Etc. • Ability To Easily Let Go or Desire to Let Go • Growing Interest In Self Development • Developing More Self Control and Discipline • Looking More Internally Within One’s Self • Revolutionary Mentality • Compassion and Love For Everything • Paying Attention to Unity Instead of Separation • Understanding How Much We Don’t Know How To Awaken Your Natural Process If you haven’t had a natural awakening process yet, but still have a desire to go through your very own experience, then the goal is to give you some insight on how to artificially start your process in the most natural way possible. Technically, it’s not really an artificial process, but I use that term to show that the most natural awakening process happens without an awakening goal in mind. Whether if it’s a part of your destiny, by chance, or initiated by using these tips, it is always beneficial to go through an awakening process. Next, I will share some insight on how you can consciously start your own awakening process. 8 Opting Out Of The Paradigm Now is the perfect time to get started on your spiritual awakening process. This step is a good foundation to base your process off of. Opt-out of society, and the current paradigm of this society. The great writer and poet, Oscar Wilde, once said, “Everything popular is wrong.” How true is this? Well, let us examine this a little more closely. Everything Popular Is “Wrong” Society’s Value System Non Superficial Value System Music What’s Popular on Internet/Radio Actual Talent & Artistic Integrity Relationships Physical Appearance Personality & Inner Beauty Social Media Quantity of Followers & Likes Quality of Content Being Shared Food Quick & Convenient; Processed Sustaining For Health; Natural Well, if everything that is popular is not “wrong”, then most of it is certainly not a progressive way to view things. That is exactly why we must completely opt-out of this paradigm. Even if you do not follow this in your heart, you are still at fault for being a part of “the game”. Society's game. If you do not engage in the passing of the ball, but you are on the court, then you are technically still playing “the game”. The goal is to completely leave the gym. This is what opting-out is all about. Being no part of this superficial perception of reality. You may come back just to help spread the light you will find within, but this is later on in your journey. It is very important now to make sure you uncondition your mind from our current society's paradigm. In order to heal yourself from this toxic way of thinking, you 9 must temporarily separate yourself from it, until you retrain your subconscious mind. Once you retrain your subconscious mind, you will be better able to protect yourself from toxic, subliminal attacks. A lot of the time, people find out that they would rather stay very distant from “the masses”. Others find their perfect balance between the two. It is your decision. Ways To Opt-Out • Stop Consuming Illusory Mainstream Media (Music, Movies, News, Blogs) • Stop Consuming Processed Foods • Distance Yourself From False Friends/Acquaintances • QUESTION EVERYTHING • Not Responding Negatively Towards Others • Having No Personal Judgement Towards Those Who Are Still Opted-In 10 Curiosity Didn’t Kill The Cat Just how I explained in the story of my personal awakening, I was conditioned to believe that curiosity killed the cat. I was reminded once again how Oscar Wilde was spot on when he said, “Everything popular is wrong.” Fulfilling your curiosity and actually seeking more knowledge can never be a bad thing, unless you make it into a bad thing by believing it is wrong. The more knowledge you acquire, the more educated your decisions will be. A consistency of knowledgeable, educated decisions will lead to a prosperous life. It is also very fundamental during your spiritual awakening to question everything. Question what’s the popular topic being discussed on the news and internet. Question what you have been told as a child. Question what you have been taught in school. Even question your own beliefs. Question everything; literally everything! Don’t worry, questioning things does not mean you are doubting it. Questioning things will challenge your mind and allow you to break the barriers of cognitive dissonance. If you have no fear of being wrong, and are fueled by the fulfillment of seeking truth, then it is a necessity to question everything. We all have a limited perception compared to the universe, so what do we truly know as human beings anyway? Therefore, make sure to question everything for your spiritual evolution. So, I say curiosity didn’t kill the cat. Ignorance did. 11 Health For Spiritual Wealth It was a very surprising truth for me to discover how important it is to eat natural, unprocessed, whole foods. I already understood how it was beneficial for the body, but I had no idea how beneficial it actually is for the mind. From my own personal experience, transitioning into a fully Earth based, natural diet has been a monumental step in my awakening. I honestly think that I wouldn't have came as far as I have, if I didn’t stop consuming the things listed below. • Meat • Dairy • Animal Products • Processed Foods • Unnatural Preservatives • Chemicals & Pesticides There is a specific, logical reason why I firmly believe that these foods/substances can be detrimental to your awakening process. Keep in mind that we are infinite beings in essence, and even something as important as food can not stop our infinite potential. So, if you are not resonating with a fully 100% Earth based, natural, non-processed food diet, it’s still possible for you to experience a spiritual awakening. Just please keep in mind that you will be met with a lot more challenging obstacles. Very briefly, I will explain the core problem with eating the listed items above while on a spiritual path. I can only speak for majority of America. I know other countries around 12 the world do things very differently. But, as far as the standard American diet goes, most general foods are not 100% in its purest form. If a package says “All Natural”, do yourself a favor and look at the ingredients list. If you see anything on that list that did not come from Mother Nature directly, then it is not natural. Unfortunately, these companies find legal loopholes to get away with using certain phrases and words. Even most of the meat is not pure. Take a closer look into the facilities that “raise” the animals. They feed them GMO crops, inject them with growth hormones, etc. That is not natural, and that energy doesn’t just go away either. We are still consuming those unnatural substances even after the animal is slaughtered, packaged, and home cooked. Unless you are 100% sure that what you are eating is really organic, then these unnatural substances can make you out of touch with nature. Being out of touch with nature is the last thing we want to be when it comes to our awakening. Other than diet, getting in tune with your body is also a huge part of this process. What does it mean to get in tune with your body? Any physical activity that allows you to either challenge yourself physically, or any physical activity that can clear your mind. Anything that can clear your conscious mind is a form of meditation, so in this sense, getting in tune with your body can count as a moving meditation. Activities To Get More In Tune With Your Body • Cardio Exercise • Strength Training • Yoga • Martial Arts 13 • Hiking / Nature Walks • Dancing • Sports The Self Development Regimen We are all infinite beings on infinite journeys. In order to live the most progressive and expansive life, we have to continually be aware of our development. The moment we stop striving to reach the next, higher level, is the moment where we begin to die. The awakening process is the perfect example of that. There is no way you can be awakening while staying stagnant. There are all different types of self development, but ultimately, it does not matter which ones you choose to focus on. It doesn’t matter so much, because development is development, and every aspect of your life is closely related to one another. For instance, I have been studying business and entrepreneurship for years. I have learned a lot through my own self education, but everything that I have learned on my spiritual journey can also be applied to my businesses. Any type of development that is helping you to align with your greatest version, can be translated into any other aspect within your life. Mastery follows consistency, so if you want to make sure to get the most out of your life in general, you must make a conscious effort to always be progressing. There are many ways to stay in constant evolution. Develop your own self development regimen, whether it be 30 minutes a day, 4 hours a day, 4 hours a week, or 15 hours a week. The amount of time you invest in each day or week does not matter. What really matters is how consistent you stay with this regimen over an extended period of time. To help you with this, I have created 14 something called a Consistency Calendar. This can help you monitor your self development track record, and also keep you held accountable for continuing your goals and progression. Click here to download the Consistency Calendar. Ways To Keep Up With Your Self Development • Read Books in the Self Development Niche • Listen to Audiobooks While Working Out or Commuting • Attend Seminars • Sign Up For Online Webinars • Watch Empowering YouTube Videos • Surround Yourself With Self Developing People Now What? One thing that people seem to miss, is that we are all on infinite journeys. There is no end destination unless you decide to completely stop your evolution. What I am trying to say is that the spiritual awakening process is everlasting. We will continue to awaken more and more in each and every experience. 15 Dealing With The Illusion I would go so far as to say that once you go through your initial awakening phase, then you will see things very differently. Not only that, but the people who are closest to you will notice a change in you as well. On the other side of the coin, some of the people that are still engaged in society’s illusion will be completely oblivious to your newfound perception, and may still try to enforce some limited views onto you. This section is to share some insight on how to deal with going your separate ways with old friends, society’s illusion, and the people that will passionately defend & endorse this illusion. Society’s Illusion And Its Endorsers The word Māyā is an ancient Sanskrit word that means illusion. Whatever you do while on your spiritually awakening journey, please make sure that you do not backtrack and fall under the spell of the illusion. Currently, majority of the people are living within the Māyā without even being aware of it. It is an illusion after all, so it can be very difficult to be aware of its existence. This illusion is very simple to be aware of once your consciousness is raised. This illusion is purely ego based, and it creates a false sense of self within ourselves. The ego is not a bad thing by default. There are a lot of spiritual “teachers” out there that bashes the ego, but the way I see it, it is fundamental to our spiritual evolution. The key is finding the right balance between knowing when to use your ego, and also knowing how to use it. A false sense of self will lead to separation. Separation is the main, detrimental obstacle we face as humans. We have so many conflicts with each other, just because we focus more on our differences, rather than our similarities. We are causing destruction to our mothering 16 planet because we are viewing ourselves from being separate from this Earth. Ways To Not Fall Under The Illusion • Focus on Unity • Love Unconditionally • Be Forgiving • Practice Meditation • Promote What You Love Instead of Bashing What You Hate • Live in Abundance, and Not in Fear • Be a Leader • Empower Others • Follow Your Heart The universe is very balanced. So, since there are spiritually passionate people, such as ourselves within this universe, we will eventually cross paths with those who are passionate about living the exact opposite lifestyle as we do. We will call these people the endorsers of the illusion. When the time comes to cross paths with these endorsers, understand that they are correct from their very own unique perspective, but their truth does not have to also be your truth. Same thing goes for the opposite end of the spectrum too. Your truth does not always equate to their truth. There is nothing wrong with an intellectual discussion, but be wise in your decision to engage in such debates. Choose your battles wisely. Sometimes it may be worth it to get into an intense discussion, only if you honestly feel that the opposing person is truly open to receiving your information. 17 Try not to take it personal if you feel as if they are trying to attack your beliefs or lifestyle. Understand that, from their perspective, no matter how they are coming off, they have a good intention by trying to share information that they believe will benefit you. Since they may be an endorser of the illusion, you can’t really expect them to share their information in an unconditional loving way. It will feel like less of a personal attack if you see it this way and realize that sometimes, people’s actions are based off of what they currently know. They just might not know any better. Burning Bridges If you are a part of this society, then living this type of lifestyle is not the norm. Most likely, you will be met with some resistance when it comes to the mass majority of people. It may not be blatant, but in one way or another, some people will grow closer to you, and some may distance themselves just because they are not resonating with your new lifestyle choices. That is okay. Make sure to not have any resistance towards the people that show resistance towards you. You may also notice that, since you are expanding your consciousness and enhancing your perception, you may decide to distance yourself from some people that you no longer resonate with either. I want you to know that this is okay as well. As long as there is no negative character judgments that is being influenced by your decision, then that is okay. What do I mean by character judgements? Well, I feel like judgements has it’s place in this universe, if done unconditionally. So, for instance, if you feel that a person is quite destructive, and you do not wish to be influenced by that on a subconscious level, then I do not think it is wrong to distance yourself from that person, based on your judgement of that person being destructive. However, I do not believe it is okay to judge that person on a 18 personal level for being destructive. Once you judge that person on a personal level and label them as being bad, a loser, low life, etc., then that is the type of judgement that will be extremely detrimental to your spiritual development. Understand the Yin Yang philosophy. Things that are perceived as negative have an important role in this universe. If a person is negative, that just may be their specific role in the universe at that time. You do not have to associate with them if you do not wish to, but do not personally judge them for that. Isolation and Loneliness This may not happen to everyone, but some people will also find that they will go into a period of time where they feel isolated and/or lonely. This is a phase that may or may not happen. If you do find yourself distanced from a lot of people, and you start to feel lonely, now is the time to really dig deep within yourself. Feeling lonely while on a spiritual journey can feel like a curse, but it is actually a blessing. In your most of loneliest times, you are able to discover things about yourself that you would have never known. If you do not dig deep within yourself while in this emotional state, you may miss out on discovering a hidden gem, deep inside. Magic happens when you look inward while feeling down in a lower vibration. Use the “light” that you have discovered in your awakening, and use that to illuminate the darkness that is making you feel lonesome and low vibrational. If done correctly, then you will discover great truths about yourself that will make you stronger in the long run. These times of feeling lonely is sometimes a necessity to discover those hidden truths about yourself. Understand that this feeling is only an illusion. No one can actually BE lonely, but only FEEL lonely. In your awakening, you may discover how everyone and everything is actually connected. You may also realize how much love is given to you that most people 19 miss, causing them to feel lonely as if no one cares. Continue on your spiritual path, and the right souls that truly resonate with you will connect with you at the right time. The Long And Winding Road As I mentioned before, this spiritual road and the awakening process is an infinite journey. It is more of a marathon than a race. The road will be long, as long as you continue down this path. This road will have many curves and hills as well. Many things worth obtaining and keeping, may not come as easily as we originally thought. Just like how our planet has four seasons, we will also have seasons on our journey. 1. Spring - Where we make new discoveries and self realizations that empowers our soul. It gives more life to us on a physical level, and is very fulfilling. This is the perfect time to plant your seeds. 2. Summer - The time to take what we have learned in spring, and apply that newfound wisdom. This is the time where we enjoy our ripe fruits that we have planted in the spring. 3. Autumn - Also known as the fall for a reason. Now is when things start to move on. This is a perfect time for matured self reflection. Don’t be afraid to let go of what is no longer positively serving you. 4. Winter - This is when things may seem to come to a complete stop. When things seem to stop growing and showing life. During these times, hang in there, and see it through, because you are actually being prepared for a new upcoming experience. Enjoy the beauty of death and rebirth. 20 Sharing Your Unique Perspective No two experiences are exactly the same in life. No two perspectives are exactly the same in life neither. So, this means that no matter how well we may know a subject, there is always something to learn from another person’s unique perspective. Now that you have experienced your very own initial awakening phase, it is very important to help others by sharing what you have discovered within. When it comes to changing the world, I truly believe that is starts from within. Once you are in full alignment with your very own personal truth, then it will radiate brightly within and without. People that are open to receiving this information will be very attracted to the powerful energy you are emitting. This will lead to a genuine connection and a building of trust between you and the people that resonate with you. If you wish to share the light, it is extremely helpful to share what you see from your personal perspective, so they can feel the honest, genuine truth and emotion pouring out from your experience. Through your spiritual awakening, you may realize that everyone is indeed connected. To help others grow, is to help yourself grow. Not only can it be very fulfilling, but you can also learn a lot just from sharing your views with the world, and realizing your contribution to the empowerment of this planet. 21 Always remember... In Lak’ech “I AM another you, and you are another me.” Stay attuned...Peace. www.TheRealestIdealist.com 22
