It was held each Spring and was started by Dr. Louis Bogy to provide a much needed gathering for networking for the podiatry profession in a “rustic” atmosphere. Many doctors had asked about bringing this famous gathering back. It is amazing what podiatry dilemmas can be solved around the campfire at a dude ranch….! The Texas Podiatric Medical Foundation brought it back in 2011 and we had a great meeting with 50 doctors and residents sharing and collaborating. The 2013 Bandera Gathering will be April 12-14, 2013 and will begin Friday afternoon per your request for less time out of office. With the help of GTEF of Houston, directed by Dr. Sam Mendicino, providing CME credits, we will provide 12 CME hours at the original Mayan Ranch in Bandera. The event will be a fundraiser for the Texas residency programs and profits are divided amongst the participating programs, as well as TPMF underwriting residents to attend.
