King Zombie Shawn Beatty realized as a child that he had a special bond he shared with zombies. Since then he has gone to school with, worked with and under a variety of zombies. In 2004 KingZombie.com was born out of a desire to spread a little zombie love through fun t-shirts and stickers. In 2006 a couple of big things happened. He became the world’s largest producer of zombie dice when he put zombies on the “1” side of six-sided dice. Since then he’s gone on to make weapon dice, human dice and critical hit dice with a zombie or weapon on the “6” side. No longer will your zombie game or bunko night be bland with these babies. Still feeling like he hasn’t done enough to bring awareness to the plight of the often ostracized and put down zombie, he organized the first Iowa City Zombie March in the summer of 2006. Since then he has, with the help of many fellow zombies, raised over $2,500 for local charities and give zombies a more of a positive image with the their good deeds. In 2009 he started work on his own line of 28mm zombie miniatures. Originally to be done in resin, but due to various complications, will now have to be made in metal. This should be available by summer. The sculpts are amazing and should turn into amazing figures. www.kingzombie.com Tyler Walpole Like the art on the cover? Let Tyler know. Steve Crow Novice Main Lounge Sunday 12pm-4pm Play one of 4 giant monsters rampaging America to gather power to take on your opponents in the final monster challenge. In this simulation of every giant monster movie ever made, you play one of four familiar monsters, as well as leader of one of four military forces. Rampage across America destroying landmarks, military bases, and cities, while getting the mutations you need. At the same time, pit your American soldiers against your opponents. Destroy enough property, and you go to the monster showdown to be the last creature standing. King in Yellow Jeff Woods Arkham Horror Intermediate Main Lounge Friday 6pm-10pm The infamous theatrical play ‘The King in Yellow’ has come to Arkham to steal the sanity of those who watch it. With it come artists who paint things that cannot be, writers who dream of black stars and madmen who drag the rest of humanity into the dark abyss. Lording over all of them is the King in Yellow himself. With the townsfolk being corrupted by the baleful yellow signs, can a few courageous investigators stop the King in Yellow before madness takes its toll? Adult 12+ only. Marvel Super Heroes Steve Crow Novice Main Lounge Friday 6pm-10pm or Saturday 6pm-10pm Play one of 4 Marvel superhero teams and protect New York from the bad guys. In this comic book simulation, you play one of four Marvel superhero teams and one of your opponents’ arch enemies. Resolve headlines, summon allies, fight the bad guys, and organize the villains against your opponents. So realistic you could write a comic book about your exploits. Memoir 44 Garrett Strause Beginner Main Lounge Saturday 12pm-2pm Memoir ‘44 is a unique historical game where players command a horde of little plastic Army men facing-off in dozens of WWII battles on an oversize hex game board. Each battle scenario mimics the historical terrain, troop placements and objectives of each army. Deploying forces through a variety of Command cards, the smart commander uses the unique skills of his units - infantry, paratroopers, tanks, artillery, commandos and resistance fighters to its greatest strength. Munchkin Quest John Moore & Brian Anderson Beginner Main Lounge Saturday 8am-12pm - John Moore Friday 8pm-12pm - Brian Anderson Who’s the biggest Munchkin in the dungeon? Kill the monster, grab the treasure, stab your buddy. That’s what it’s all about. Now Munchkin Quest brings the action to the gameboard. Cooperate with the whole group, adventure with a partner, or strike out on your own. You don’t know what’s behind a door until you open it . . . then another room is added to the dungeon. Battle monsters for power and treasure, or send them after your friends. Reach Level 10, and then get out alive if you can! Power Grid David Fageol Beginner Main Lounge Saturday 6pm-8pm Be the first to set up, expand, and control the electrical grid of a country. Of course your opponents have other ideas. Revolution! Revolution! (Demo) John Moore Beginner Main Lounge Friday 6pm-10pm Come try out one of Steve Jackson Games’ latest board games. Blackmail the printer. Threaten the innkeeper. Bribe the priest. Welcome to Revolution! Secretly bid against your opponents to gain the support of the people, win territory... and gather more Gold, Blackmail, and Force for the next round of bidding! Knowing where to push for support – and where to back away – is the key to victory. It’s a game of bluff, counter-bluff, and surprise. 12 Board Games Continued Shadows Over Camelot The Stars Are Right Jeff Strause Beginner Main Lounge Saturday 4pm-6pm In most games, players compete against each other to achieve victory. Shadows over Camelot proposes a journey of a very different kind, where you and your fellow players, as Knights of the Round Table, will collaborate to jointly defeat....the game! At first glance, this taks seems simple enough. After all, shouldn’t a band of young and noble Knights - fleet of foot and sound of mind - easily defeat a game that plays itself? Alas your quest is further complicated by the ever-present possibility of a Traitor in your midst, biding his time, waiting to strike at the worst possible moment... But enough words...Don your cloak, climb astride your warhorse and gallop into the Shadows to join us in Camelot! Brian Anderson Novice Main Lounge Sunday 12pm-2pm As a cultist of Cthulhu, you are trying to rearrange the stars to make constellations favorable to you. Summon enough minor minions that you can eventually summon the Great Old Ones, who will shower you with wealth and power beyond you dreams! ...or eat you. Maybe both. Zooloretto Tony Langasek Beginner Main Lounge 4pm-6pm The award-winning game of tile-based zoo management from Michael Schacht! Plan your zoo wisely to score the most points. Make sure you have room for every tile you pick, since each enclosure can only hold one type of animal Miniature Games 13 Ex Illis Kirk Mathes Beginner Main Lounge, Friday 8pm-12am; Saturday 12pm-4pm; Sunday 10am-12pm Ex Illis is a miniature game like no other. Pathfinder Society is like a home game of your favorite fantasy roleplaying game: it has a GM and players, dice are rolled, characters created, monsters are vanquished, treasure is tallied and accumulated—everyone gathers a few times a month to play together. Set in the popular Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting (home of the blockbuster monthly Pathfinder Adventure Path series), Pathfinder Society Organized Play follows the exploits of the setting’s most notorious group of treasure hunters, vagabond scholars, and thrillseeking rogues: the Pathfinder Society. Characters made for Pathfinder Society Organized Play are members of this august society, with countless adventures in their future. the nations nearest to it. Five nations have infiltrated the Pathfinder Society in hopes of using it as a cover to retrieve missives, steal objects, and eliminate those who stand in their way. Though only a minority of Pathfinders are secretly faction members, in Pathfinder Society Organized Play every player belongs to one of the five factions. Forced to work together by the society and often at odds because of their factions, these Pathfinders—the Pathfinders of Pathfinder Society Organized Play—have a truly monumental task ahead of them. Pathfinder Society Organized Play brings Pathfinder and 3.5 organized play fans to your store. With 28 scenarios released annually (and a beginner series launching soon), Pathfinder Society gives you ample opportunity to capture your local OP and RPG fans and keep them coming back for a quality RPG experience. The Pathfinder Society is based in a teeming metropolis called Absalom. Known as the City at the Center of the World, Absalom is the largest city in the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting and is the economic and social capital of the world. As an independent city state, Absalom is desired by all the nations of the world, but most especially For additional information on Pathfinder Society Organized Play, visit paizo.com/pathfindersociety, and download the PDF guide book.
