Welcome to the first 2013

All the Christmas festivities
are over and it is time to go
back to school. But January
is not all doom and gloom as
we have a very exciting year
of theatre ahead of us for
your students. With fantastic
rates and new shows on the
horizon, there has never been
a better time to book your trip
to the theatre.
It has just been announced
that GreaT expecTaTions
(pg 1) is opening in the West
End, after receiving fantastic
reviews across the board,
whilst on its UK tour. As well
as taking your students to see
this classic production, you
can also listen to a talk offered
by Dickens’s great, great,
great grand-daughter Lucinda
Dickens Hawksley. With a
schools rate of £20, this is not
to be missed.
Or maybe you would prefer
to see more of an old classic
like sToMp (pg 4), which
is celebrating its 11th year
in the West End. At £16.50
each for a school group of
10+, there has never been a
better time to thrill your class
with this explosive theatrical
experience.
If just going to see a show is
not enough for your class,
remember there is the
opportunity to book one of
our theatre workshops as well
(pg 6). These help students to
explore particular themes from
the show and all in all enhance
your students’ experience of
the production.
Alternatively, you could turn
your school trip into a full day
away from the classroom with
one of our Juniors Grand Day
Out packages. Tailor your day in
London to suit your class with
either a visit to the GLoBe
exHiBiTion, a backstage tour
at the naTionaL THeaTre
or a trip to the BriTisH
MUsic experience. With a
West End matinee and lunch on
top of this it is guaranteed to be
a truly Grand Day Out.

and, still not old enough
to enlist, he embarks on a
treacherous mission to find
him and bring him home.
Told through captivating
song, riveting drama and
stunning choreography, the

events that have shaped their

Now for the first time since
its award-winning London

of the first Globe crossing the Thames, and the new Globe
