Sandy Macarden attended Reading University in England after finishing her secondary school, with excellent results. She received her B.A. degree in Economics and Psychology in 1979. She received her MPhil degree in Economics from Reading University in 1981, graduating in the top one-third of her class. She spent one summer studying Psychology Mphil degree in University of Succex. Sandy Macarden has served as a lecturer of Business Administration and Economics for Succex University's Division of Business since 1982. From 1986 she transferred to lecturing in University of Durham UK for 20 years. After 1997 Sandy Macarden returned to Hong Kong and was recently developing courses for the Business field especially for the small business enterprise. From 2005 she acted as the Principal Education consultant of Magna Education Center (formerly known as New-Horizons Training Centre) and had been the consultant of HKEEA. She has been exercising her ASK model of Education to upgrade the learning attitude of the students since then.
