Thursday, April 21 - Monday, May 16, 6:00 p.m.: SPLOST Public Input Meetings
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is considering calling for a referendum in the
November 8th General Election for a one-cent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) for
capital improvements and construction projects. If called and approved by the voters, the SPLOST
would be for 6 years beginning April 2017 and is estimated to bring in $160 million.
The BOC is asking for input/project ideas from the Public during a series of meeting, as follows:
