Location:
Punta Sayulita is located along the “Riviera Nayarit” in Nayarit, Mexico, and is just a 35-minute drive from
Puerto Vallarta International Airport on a smooth modern highway. Among the many U.S. cities that have
short, direct flights into Puerto Vallarta are Los Angeles—2.5 hours; San Francisco—3 hours; Salt Lake City—3
hours; Dallas/Houston—2.5 hours; Denver—3 hours; Phoenix—2.5 hours and Chicago—4 hours.
Sayulita:
An authentic Mexican seaside fishing village, Sayulita has come a long way in the last thirty years. Known for
years as a surfing destination attracting surfers from all over, Sayulita is blessed with a long sandy beach, 80degree waters and versatile swells fit for beginner to advanced surfers. Several surf schools operate from
Sayulita’s main beach. The village’s cobblestone streets are lined with family-run storefronts, upscale boutiques,
galleries, gourmet restaurants and charming cafés. The community is a pleasantly mixed bag of American,
European and Aussie surfers, local fishermen, laid-back artists and affluent vacationers from the world over—
all soaking up the bohemian vibe. Travel + Leisure magazine recently named Sayulita as one of Mexico’s “next
great beach towns.”
Resident Services:
Punta Sayulita’s team of community associates will be on call to furnish homeowners with an amazing
multitude of amenities, activities, comforts and conveniences. With the knowledge that so many things are
already taken care of, residents can relax and get to the business of what Punta Sayulita is all about: Creating
the most magical life experiences along the Riviera Nayarit.
Punta Sayulita Beach & Surf Club:
With a gorgeous outlook over the Sayulita coastline, Punta Sayulita Beach Club will be the community’s
inviting central gathering place. Designed as a small tropical “village” of nine separate palapa-covered
buildings, the private Club will house an intimate lounge, beach bar and an outstanding seaside restaurant as
well as a library, game room for the kids, state-of-the-art fitness center with men’s and women’s locker rooms,
spa treatment palapas and a show kitchen for culinary events. Outside, an oceanfront Jungle Pool, Jacuzzi,
small boat dock and large barbecue area will be set into a courtyard of natural wood decking, grass and stone
for casual beachfront BBQs.
Dining:
The Club’s oceanfront restaurant and lounge is to unfurl ocean vistas and a romantic ambiance. The
indoor/outdoor space will offer a variety of the fresh catch of the day purchased from local fishermen just
hours after reeling them in as well as fresh organic produce from local farmers. Simple Mexican staples, such as
ceviche and guacamole and chips, will join the menu alongside oysters, fresh scallops, prime Argentine beef
and locally caught lobster.
Fitness Center:
Geared with all of the latest in cardio and strength training equipment, Punta Sayulita’s Fitness Center will also
have outdoor palapas for yoga, Pilates and tai chi as well as areas for private sessions with a Fitness Trainer.
Men’s and women’s locker rooms will offer indoor and outdoor showers, steam and private Jacuzzi spas.
Surf Club:
Punta Sayulita Surf Club will stock an impressive quiver of surf boards, stand-up paddle boards, outrigger
canoes, sea kayaks, , fishing gear, snorkeling equipment…even inflatables for the kids. The Club’s sport boats
will be on call to take residents from the private dock to the many nearby surf breaks, on whale watching
excursions or on daytrips to secluded beaches. Personalized instruction in nearly every water sport imaginable
will also available through the Club’s Ocean Activities staff who truly enjoy teaching and sharing as a way of
life.
Taupa Pavilion & Sunset Lounge:
With waterfalls, gardens, an intimate dipping pool and thrilling ocean panoramas, the private Taupa Pavilion
and Sunset Lounge is to be Punta Sayulita at its most serene. It will be an extraordinary stage for community
events, private parties and an occasional art class. A service kitchen will accommodate catered events. Taupa’s
spectacular bar and sala just may be the best spot in the country to sip a cool cocktail while watching the sun
fall into the sea.
Beach and Jungle Trails:
Punta Sayulita’s extensive trail system offers something for everyone. A trail for the fitness-minded will be
peppered with steep slopes, climbable rocks and exercise stations. Other paths will be designed for leisurely
strolls. There will be trails that lead to the beach, others deep into the jungle while still others point the way to
lush hilltop preserves with unbelievable panoramas of the glistening Pacific, Sayulita and virgin jungle. Yet no
matter which path is for you, comfort stations with fruit and juice as well as pavilions for yoga and relaxation
will be dotted along the way. In addition, trails for horseback riding and mountain bikes carve through the
jungle that lies just outside the gates of Punta Sayulita.
2
Area Activities:
With the ocean just steps away, surfing, body boarding, snorkeling, swimming, fishing, paddle boarding,
windsurfing and kayaking are all popular pastimes. Great for sunbathing and people-watching, Sayulita’s main
beach is just a five-minute swim or ten-minute walk from Punta Sayulita. The Director of Ocean Activities will
offer both group and individual lessons in a myriad of water sports as well as lead angling expeditions and
trips to San Blas and the Marietas Isles. Experienced surfers can board one of Punta Sayulita’s Club boats in
order to access the nearby bevy of world-class breaks. For land-based adventures, ride horseback on the beach,
take a zip-line canopy tour or enjoy a guided hike along the rim of the El Copo volcano with Punta Sayulita’s
Community Naturalist leading the way.
Organic Community Design:
To preserve the natural beauty of Punta Sayulita’s pristine peninsula of jungle and beach, a relatively small
number of homes will be built here. The idea is for Punta Sayulita to feel like an organic extension of the
village of Sayulita. Though the property could hold many more than 62 homes, a decision was made to
showcase the land’s engaging contours, character and indigenous majesty rather than build a multitude of
residences that would protrude the ridges or require the clearing of too many trees or boulders. By respecting
the land, keeping the community small and implementing eco-sustainable and green practices where possible,
Punta Sayulita has designed a site-appropriate and sensitive land plan that honors the earth. With further
respect for the environment, there will be no automobiles allowed on the slender paths of Punta Sayulita.
Designed as an electric golf cart-only community, it will be easy to move about the property, visit your
neighbor, stop by the Beach Club or drive right into the village of Sayulita. For excursions beyond Sayulita
Club cars are available either with or without a driver.
Homes and Architecture:
Taking a cue from the ancient cultures of coastal Mexico, the residences of Punta Sayulita will use locally
sourced stone and hardwoods. The relatively small number of homes to be built here means that open space
will be preserved and privacy emphasized. Airy designs and tropical influences will remind that Punta Sayulita
is an oceanfront playground just steps from the water. Earthen hues and a host of outdoor spaces—garden
courtyards, rambling terraces, intimate outdoor showers, roof decks and private plunge pools—will help each
exotic home disappear into the jungle landscape. And whether facing the bay and village of Sayulita or tucked
into a slope over the open sea, every Punta Sayulita residence will showcase sweeping ocean views.

Punta Sayulita Beach & Surf Club
Settled and relaxed into the small valley just above Punta Sayulita’s beach, the nine pavilions of the Beach and Surf
Club feel like a natural extension of nearby Sayulita. Strewn with large black and white wave washed boulders, the
beach is singularly unique and special. The scale of the club had been carefully designed to be sympathetic with
the land – and to fit without imposition.

The Residences At Punta Sayulita
Taking its cue from the ancient cultures of coastal Mexico, the residences of Punta Sayulita will use locally sourced stone and
hardwoods. A relatively small number of homes to be built here means that open space will be preserved and privacy can reign.
Designed by the acclaimed boutique resort and residential architectural firm of de Reus Architects, the airy floor plans and
tropical influences will remind that Punta Sayulita is an oceanfront playground just steps from the water. Earthen hues and a host
of outdoor spaces—garden courtyards, rambling terraces, roof decks, intimate outdoor showers and private plunge pools—will
help each exotic home disappear into the tropical landscape. And whether facing the bay and village of Sayulita or tucked into a
slope over the open sea, every Punta Sayulita residence will showcase sweeping ocean views.
Inspired from indigenous Mexican coastal architecture, the residences at Punta Sayulita have been designed in a tropical vernacular
to blend into the nearby village of Sayulita—a concept de Reus Architects refers to as “Village-Specific Design”.
Designed to today’s tropical lifestyles, the homes incorporate the use of local materials such as Palapa roofs (thatch), stone and
hardwood. Perched into the three hills of Punta Sayulita, living spaces orient to unrestricted ocean and coastline views anchored
with large pool terraces on the lower levels.

coastline, with direct access to the outdoor terraces making these panoramas even easier to enjoy. In addition to generous living
dining and kitchen spaces, the lower level entertainment/study opens to the pool and spa amenities.

Punta Sayulita Treehouse
Inspired from indigenous Mexican coastal architecture, the residences at Punta Sayulita have been designed in a tropical vernacular
to blend into the nearby village of Sayulita. de Reus Architects refers to this as “Village-Specific Design”.
