WHERE IS IT?
IN THE magnificent Chalfonte Hotel (see
page XXX) on Howard Street, a couple blocks
from the beach, in the middle of the Historic
District. The Chalfonte is the longest-standing
hotel in America's Original Seaside Resort.
WHY SHOULD I GO?
CHEFS Dot Burton and Lucille Thompson are
the daughters of the late Helen Dickerson, who
cooked at the Chalfonte Hotel for 60 years, and
the genius was passed on. The restaurant regularly receives national acclaim, with features
on the Discovery Channel’s Home Matters, and
on the Food Network’s Tyler’s Ultimate.
Dot and Lucille's downhome classic,
