MOPS offers instruction and support in a relaxed atmosphere of caring, sharing, and fun! Our HOPE MOPS group is chartered with MOPS International, Inc. This non-denominational organization helps us to nurture every mother by meeting her distinct needs. MOPS is primarily led by the mothers themselves with the addition of “seasoned, veteran” moms who are affectionately called “Mentor Moms.” This group meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 9:30 – 11:30am. There is a semester fee which covers the cost of childcare. Go to MeetHope.org/mops to register and pay. Target Audience - Mothers of infants - Kindergarteners Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study This six-session, DVD-driven small group Bible study is based on Pastor Rick Warren’s Everything is Possible with God. The group meets each Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11am. Childcare is available. Target Audience - Adult Women HOPE’s Prayer Shawl Ministry Do you like to knit or crochet? Thursday Small Group for Women Becoming Myself is a hope-filled book for anyone who wonders if her life will ever change—if she will ever change. In Stasi Eldredge’s most intimate book yet, she shares her own struggles with self-worth, weight, and her past as she shows readers how God is faithfully unveiling who we truly are. It's a beautiful paradox. The more of God’s you become, the more yourself you become—the “self” He had in mind when he thought of you before the creation of the world. Led by Heather Mandala and Amanda Cavaliere, this eight-week, DVD-driven study meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday evening at 7pm. This group will meet in various homes. Their first meeting will be in the Mandala’s home on October 2 at a special time of 7:30pm Target Audience - Adult Women Chit, Chat, & Chocolate Calling All Women! Join in at The Meeting Place, 500 Centennial Boulevard, periodically from 7 to 9:30pm for Chit, Chat & Chocolate . (Next date TBA.) All women are welcome! Target Audience - Men 33 The Series In this volume of 33 The Series, we’ll look at all new material that will challenge and equip men to go below the surface, to look deep into our hearts and explore some areas that are all too easy to ignore but are critical in our journey toward authentic manhood. These six sessions will provide a framework and a process that will help men understand what lies behind the manhood traps and beneath the heart idols that can distract them from the truth and the power of the Gospel. This group meets in the Worship Space each Thursday evening at 7:30pm beginning October 16. Target Group - Men Holy Smokes! Holy Smokes is a monthly Bible study for men that meets one Friday each month at 7:30pm. The guys gather around a fire, smoke cigars, swap stories from their week, encourage and support one another, read some Bible and pray. This is an informal group of men who believe being conformed to His image takes a lifetime; and also believe they are on a journey together to become more like Jesus, one step at a time. The group meets in a different member’s backyard and/or patio. The next two meetings will be Fridays, October 24 and November 21 at 8pm. For locations, or if you have any questions, email HOPE Pastor Rick Court at [email protected]. Target audience: Adult Men. Life Groups One of the best ways for women to go deeper in your relationship with Jesus, is to do so with one or two others. If you are ready to take that next step and have someone you already “do life with,” then we would love to encourage you to make it official. Talk to Heather Mandala, HOPE’s Director of Small Groups about forming a life group where you can work together to apply God’s word to your life.
