Larry’s Lyrics …
Our marriage retreat last month was attended by 27 people representing 5 of our churches. All the
comments I have heard have been very positive and a big thank you goes out to Jekyll Chapel for
the excellent job they did as our host church.
In this month's newsletter you will find several opportunities for worship, encouragement and
service. Let me encourage you to read over it carefully and see where God would have you plug in.
I look forward to seeing the sanctuary at FBC St. Marys filled on Thursday night, March 19th, as we
come together to hear a challenge from our state convention president. I pray that every church
will be represented as we unite in service with our items for the children's home and worship as we
hear God's Word. This event is for everyone, so don't miss the blessing. Our ministers will have the
opportunity to fellowship with Dr. Hattaway at 11A.M. that Thursday as we gather at Captain Joe's
on Hwy 341 in Brunswick.
Please notice the plea for Baptist Ministry Center volunteers. We are moving forward in the
reopening of this ministry. Our next step is securing and training our volunteer force. The building
is ready, the food is here, Danny Saunds from Northside, Brunswick, has joined Kitty Reyna to help
with the day to day operations, so all that is missing is you.
I look forward to seeing many of you during this coming month as we work together to reach our
communities for Christ.

Tony’s Tidbits:
When the world sends out so many bad ideas and images
of what real love should look like, it is exciting to be able
to discuss frankly with students what the Bible has to say
about relationships. The BCM at CCGA has discussed the
foundation for friendships, the importance of dating/
courtship and the importance of marriage as opposed to
divorce. The discussions have been healthy and hopefully
beneficial to the students. A quick summation of these
discussions can be seen in John 15. The foundation is
abiding in Christ. Those who abide lay down their lives
for their friends. The end result is the bearing of fruit.
A marriage then should be two people who are abiding
in Christ who in turn are willing to lay down their lives for
each other. Then and only then can a marriage bear the
fruit that it is intended to bear for the Glory of God. This
is good stuff. Come join us some Tuesday and be a part of
these great discussions.
