On behalf of DeBartolo Sports University, I would like to invite you and your family to participate
in our Philadelphia Football Festival! The Philadelphia Football Festival will take place on May
15 – 17 at the United Sports Training Center. The festival features five individual events across
the three day span. Athletes can sign up for one event or multiple events across the
weekend.
The Festival features a Football Showcase, coach’s clinic led by NFL coaches, Super 7
Academy for QB’s, WR’s, RB’s and TE’s designed by Steve Clarkson and Jerry Rice, Lineman
Academy designed by NFL coaches and players and the Defensive Academy for Defensive
Backs and Linebackers. All were created to train and showcase athletes.
We realize that you have various options when it comes to training camps. We hope that you
have the opportunity to look over all of the information with your parents and coach. We hope
that you will join us for what should be a great weekend of football.
Our programs have been recognized by Sports Illustrated, ESPN the Magazine, NFL
Network, ESPN.com and many others as one of the best training programs in the nation.
DeBartolo Sports University was founded by Edward DeBartolo Jr., who owned and led the San
Francisco 49ers to five Super Bowl Championships and the Pittsburgh Penguins to two
Stanley Cup Championships. Mr. DeBartolo is recognized as the ultimate players’ owner and
was responsible for building one of the greatest football dynasties in the history of the NFL. He
brought coaches and players, like Bill Walsh, Joe Montana, and Jerry Rice into the NFL.

PHILADELPHIA FOOTBALL FESTIVAL NFL COACHING STAFF
Terry Shea, NFL QB Coach
Highly regarded NFL quarterback coach Terry Shea has spent the last
eight years developing NFL quarterbacks. Over the past few months,
Coach Shea trained and developed the #1 overall draft pick Matt
Stafford and the #17 overall draft pick Josh Freeman. Coach Shea has
also developed quarterbacks like Brady Quinn, Trent Green and Jeff
Garcia. He will be onsite for two full days to work with quarterbacks
and receivers.
DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver
Rookie sensation DeSean Jackson is set to coach up the receivers,
running backs and tight ends at the Super 7 Academy coming to
Philadelphia on May 16 & 17. Athletes will have the chance to work
and train with DeSean Jackson for two full days.
Jackson will be sharing his NFL experiences as well as his NFL
training methods. Jackson is best known for his playmaking and ball
skills. He will not only be sharing his technique and skill training with
athletes but also his approach to his training and preparation.
Pat Flaherty, New York Giants Offensive Line Coach
Pat Flaherty, who 30 years of coaching experience, is in his fifth
season as the Giants’ offensive line coach. He was hired by Tom
Coughlin on Jan. 26, 2004.
The Giants’ rushing attack has been one of the team’s strengths since
Flaherty began coaching the line and was ranked in the NFL top 10 in
each of the previous three seasons.
Juan Castillo, Philadelphia Eagles Offensive Line Coach
Juan Castillo is in his 15th season with the Eagles and his 12th as the
club's offensive line coach. Under his tutelage, four lineman earned
their first Pro Bowl selections: William Thomas, Jermane Mayberry,
Jon Runyan, and Shawn Andrews.
Joe Dickinson, DeBartolo Sports U QB Expert
Dickinson has been the Offensive Coordinator at Oklahoma, Marshall,
Northern Illinois, and Central Oklahoma. He won the 1985 National
Championship with a 25-10 victory over Penn State. Coach Dickinson
has worked with NFL quarterbacks Troy Aikman, J.P. Losman and
Patrick Ramsey, T.J. Rubley (Los Angeles Rams) and Gus Frerotte
(Washington Redskins).

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS PROGRAM 6pm – 8:30pm Open to ALL POSITIONS (6 graders – 12 graders)
You are invited to what will prove to be one of the great football
opportunities of your career. You will receive the opportunity to
show off your physical skills and football skills not only to your
region but to the nation at the Showcase.
Athletes wear their team jersey or team colors to the event where
they compete under the lights in combine testing, skills
challenges, position drills and 1 on 1 competitions. The event has
a high school and youth division.
DeBartolo Sports University is giving athletes the chance to come
to one field and find out who truly are the region’s top players. It’s
your chance to shine and be recognized for all of the work and
training you have endured.
MEDIA EXPOSURE: Football Showcase athletes will be featured
on the web. In addition, DSU will invite media to attend the event
and cover all of the athletes. DSU provides all results and athlete
highlights to ESPN and its affiliates.
IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY FOR RECRUITING: The recruiting exposure is included in the price, you can
elect to have your contact information and results from the showcase fast tracked in which we will
distribute it to college recruiters at all levels (Div 1-3). (Athletes can elect for college coaches to receive

The Super 7 QB & WR Academy was designed by QB Expert
Steve Clarkson and NFL great Jerry Rice. Coach Clarkson

Heisman Trophy Winners Matt Leinart and Gino Torretta, and
some of the nation’s top high school and youth quarterbacks.

The Lineman Academy was specifically designed by NFL offensive and
defensive linemen for today’s big men. Players and coaches like NFL
great Randy Cross, long time NFL coach Bill Laveroni, and many others
designed and built the curriculums.
Randy Cross was an All-Pro offensive lineman and Super Bowl
champion and offers young athletes a unique perspective both on and
off the field. Coach Laveroni has coached several Pro Bowl offensive
linemen including: Walter Jones (LT), Steve Hutchinson (OG), Robbie
