superbly preserved Aboriginal rock art. Located on the Arnhem Land escarpment, Ubirr has been added in its own
right to the World Heritage List because of its anthropological and archaeological value. Join an Aboriginal guide for
the Guluyambi Cruise on the East Alligator River. As you glide along the tranquil waters, learn of the flora, fauna,
Aboriginal mythology and history of the region from your guide. Along the way, with special permission, take a walk
into Arnhem Land (conditions permitting) and enjoy lunch in a bush setting.
Stay: Kakadu National Park, Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Camp, shared facilities (Exclusive), Aurora Kakadu – Standard

Day 2. Arnhem Land by 4WD, Mikinj Valley, Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre.
Today, journey across the East Alligator River into Arnhem Land. Aboriginal-owned, Arnhem Land is one of Australia’s
most remote and least traversed regions. With special permission from the Manilakarr people, travel to the rarely
visited Mikinj Valley, with its escarpments, floodplains, outcrops and billabongs. You’ll see places inaccessible to
most. Hear of traditional land ownership, learn bush skills of hunting and gathering and how to prepare bush tucker.
View Aboriginal art in its natural state. Most tours are led or accompanied by an Aboriginal guide. On the return
journey to Darwin stop in at the Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine on
the viewing deck overlooking the floodplains. Then return to Darwin where your touring concludes on arrival at around
8 pm.

Note: Injalak Arts and Craft Association is visited only on weekdays. Injalak is not open weekends and public holidays
and may be closed for cultural reasons. If Injalak is closed you will visit Cannon Hill and Hawk Dreaming in Kakadu
instead. This alternative also applies when seasonal flooding and tides prevent crossing the East Alligator River. Order of
touring may vary.
