Fortunately, Fort Bragg’s incoming Families will now find a Family-friendly environment from the moment they step into Picerne Military Housing’s new leasing center for onpost Family housing. Picerne’s leasing center has relocated to 426 Souter Place, near prominent landmarks like the North Post Commissary and Post Exchange. The leasing center, now a stand-alone building located in the former Randolph Pointe model home, officially opened in its new location in May to future residents of on-post Family housing. “We want our Families to feel welcome and love everything about living on post from the moment they walk in the door,” said Scarlett Tyner, Picerne’s communications manager. “This new leasing center location is part of that commitment.” Each Family’s Picerne experience will truly begin as soon as they enter the building. Each future resident will be greeted by a relocation specialist upon entering the center. Picerne’s signature cookies will be waiting for everyone upon arrival, as well as materials that detail Family housing floor plans, wait times and pictures. The leasing center’s lobby has comfortable chairs, a flat-screen television and artwork featuring Fort Bragg homes and events. The center includes a conference room and restrooms that are fully compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act. The building is designed with military Families in mind. For instance, the interior offices overlook adjacent play rooms with specially designed windows. “We put a lot of thought into the building layout to help make the moving experience less stressful,” said Kisha Patton, Picerne’s Leasing Center manager. “The interior windows, for instance, allow parents to focus on finding the perfect new home, while their children happily play nearby.” Staff Sgt. LaShanda Jones of the U.S. Army Forces Command recently visited the leasing center at its new location to apply for on-post housing. “I really like it. It’s so up-close and personal,” said Jones who added that she is so impressed with the new leasing center that she is looking forward to spreading the word to her FORSCOM colleagues. “I’ll be sure to tell them,” she added. The leasing center was formerly located in the Soldier Support Center, which is closed on Saturdays. As a result, Picerne’s Leasing Center operated at a different location on Saturdays prior to its move to the new building. “This is a great improvement for our military Families,” Patton said. “Incoming Families can now find us at one location Monday through Saturday.” The leasing center’s hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information about on-post Family housing, please visit the leasing center at 426 Souter Place, call the leasing center at 4950878, or visit Picerne Military Housing’s website at www.BraggPicerne.com.
