Artificial Ears
All our Artificial Ear Systems are made in accordance with standards and based on one, modular
and upgradable platform. These systems have been
developed in close corporation with the industry
resulting in features like a rugged design (all stainless steel), easy adjustment of pressure-force (in
two ranges) and accommodation for all commercially
available audiometric headsets.

Sound Level Analyzer
The handheld class 1 Sound Analyzer Nor140 from
Norsonic serves as sound level meter but has far
more functionality making headset and free-field
audiometer calibration easy and fast. Values for the
Leq, exact frequency and distortion are all shown
simultaneously in the same display.
For free-field (loudspeaker) calibration the analyzer is
delivered with a free-field microphone and extension
cord in order to move the equipment out of the sound
field.

Sound Calibrator
In order to verify the calibration system – artificial
ear and analyzer – a reference sound source is efficient. The sound calibrator generates a sound pressure level of 114 dB at 1 kHz and is delivered with
the needed adapters for all G.R.A.S.’ artificial ear
systems. Depending on your quality control system
requirements and daily use, G.R.A.S. recommends a
traceable or accredited calibration every 12 months
for this unit.
