Office Hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Washington Avenue Waterline Replacement, Sanitary Sewer Repair and Street Resurfacing
Pennsylvania American Water Company Mainline Replacement is anticipated to start the first week of
February.
Approximately 3,100 linear feet of pipe between
Chartiers Street and St. Clair Street is being replaced.
The section from Chartiers Street to Bower Hill Road is to
be completed first per PennDOT. The second section will
be from Bower Hill Road to the point near St. Clair Street.
The proposed location of the new main line is in the right
lane of Washington Avenue when traveling from
Chartiers Street towards St. Clair Street. The contractor
for Pennsylvania American Water Company is Casper
Colosimo and Sons. PennDOT is requiring this work to be
done first so that Lane Construction, who is under
contract with PennDOT, can complete their resurfacing
work.
The Sanitary Sewer repair has been placed out for bid
with the awarding of the contract to be made at the
February 8th Council Meeting. The contract for sanitary sewer repair work will specify that the repair work is
to be started in early March and completed by April 15, 2015.
All work will be done at night from 8 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. with the completion of both the waterline and sanitary
