Encapsulating Carpet Cleaner
® ® Encapsulating Encapsulating Carpet Carpet Cleaner Cleaner Dries to Crystals, Prevents Resoiling & is Easily Removed by Vacuum This next generation carpet care product was specifically designed to clean and brighten all carpets using an advanced technology that surrounds and encapsulates soil, then dries to a nonsticky crystal that is easily vacuumed up. The chemistry of this product allows for low moisture application techniques that eliminates the need for rinsing and minimizes carpet down time. Contains no toxic solvents or other harmful chemicals that may cause indoor air quality (IAQ) issues. Special additives create an anti-resoiling barrier that helps keep carpets cleaner, longer. Specifically formulated for all fibers. Will not clog valves or jets on spray applicators or extraction machines. Recommended for all colorfast carpeting. For Use with the Square Scrub® DIRECTIONS Assemble all needed materials at work site. Microfiber IMPORTANT: Have a good source of cold water nearby before starting this project. Easy access to a sink/basin will greatly enhance the speed of this process. Note : Mix Square Scrub® Encapsulating Carpet Cleaner at 8 oz. per gallon in a sprayer of your choice. Cleaning Pad Carpet IMPORTANT: The Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad does NOT require a driver or spacer pad. The Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad attaches directly to the grip face of the machine. This Carpet & Rug Institute tested and certified cleaner effectively removes soil without any damage to the carpet. The CRI Seal of Approval is awarded to carpet cleaning products that pass stringent tests administered by an independent, accredited institute. IMPORTANT: Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad has been designed for use by the EBG-20/C and NOT other machines. This pad will not work with the EBG-28 or machines manufactured by another company How long it will take? You can expect 1500 square feet per hour with the Square Scrub®. The life expectancy of a Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad is 30-100 washing cycles. 1. Dry vacuum carpet area to be cleaned by making four (4) passes with a Carpet and Rug Institute certified vacuum at 1.8 feet per second per pass. This is about 7500 square feet per hour. This will help remove any loose soil. A pass is over the carpet one time in one direction. 2. Remove all the weights from your Square Scrub® EBG- 20/C machine. 3. Mix Square Scrub® Encapsulating Carpet Cleaner at 8 oz. per gallon in a sprayer of your choice. Also mix an extra gallon or two depending on the job size to use for pre-wetting the microfiber carpet cleaning pad. We recommend a pump up type or battery operated sprayer for larger areas. 4. Pre spray the area to be cleaned with the properly mixed Square Scrub® Encapsulating Carpet Cleaner. Use one gallon of diluted cleaner per 200 square feet. Allow chemical to dwell for 10 minutes prior to cleaning. Pre-spray small sections of approximately 10’x20’ to prevent the chemical from drying before the machine reaches the area. 5. While the chemical is dwelling, submerge the microfiber carpet cleaning pad in Square Scrub® Encapsulating Carpet Cleaner diluted at 8 oz per gallon of water. Once the Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad is completely wet twist to wring out any excess chemical. The Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad should remain wet without dripping. 6. Lay the wet Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad on the carpet area to be cleaned. Tilt the machine back and line up the Microfiber Carpet Cleaning pad with the base of the machine. Allow the machine to rest on the Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad. Plug the machine into a nearby wall socket and confirm power with the lighted plug. Dries to Crystals, Prevents Resoiling & is Easily Removed by Vacuum Encapsulating Carpet Cleaner 7. You should be able to power on the machine now and it should move with some effort forward and backward. You may adjust the handle up or down to allow operation to be the most comfortable. Move the machine at a rate of one (1) foot per second and make 4 passes over each area to be cleaned. Periodically re- wet the Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad in Square Scrub® Encapsulating Carpet Cleaner. If the Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad becomes heavily soiled use a second pad or thoroughly clean the pad. It is not critical that the Microfiber Carpet Cleaning Pad be super clean. Square Scrub® Encapsulating Carpet Cleaner is doing the bulk of the cleaning once the carpet is agitated to release the soils. The soil is being suspended in the cleaner and it will be dry vacuumed out after the carpet is completely dry. As each 10’x20’ is cleaned, move to the next section and repeat as needed until the entire area is cleaned. 8. Allow cleaned area to completely dry (at least 30 minutes). Once the area is completely dry vacuum again with a Carpet and Rug Institute certified vacuum using four (4) passes over each area a rate of 1.8 feet per second.
