the world. Montverde Academy is a college preparatory school serving young people from PK3 through grade twelve as well as post graduate

In 2011, under Boyle in just his first season, Montverde Academy
was ranked 9th nationally by ESPN and reached the finals of the
ESPN National Boy’s High School Championship, which was
televised nationally on ESPN. He is considered by many college
coaches as one of the best teachers and strategists of the game
on and off the court. Coach Boyle’s accomplishments are rooted
in his unwavering desire and capability to develop the highest

Coach Boyle is a former student athlete and graduate of Saint
Peter’s University in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he is
second on the single season assist list. He began his collegiate
career at Seton Hall University under head coach Bill Raftery,
American basketball analyst. Coach Boyle and his wife Kelly
are the devoted parents of Kelscey, Kevin, Jr., and Brendan
and are deeply committed to efforts within the community, most
notably working to promote and support the St. Jude’s Childrens’
Research Hospital.

53 scholarships totalling over six million dollars in the last nine
years. Powerhouse basketball programs including University
of Kentucky, Clemson University, University of Florida and ivy

MISSION STATEMENT
ABOUT
The Strength and Conditioning Program at Montverde Academy
goes well beyond the weight room. Our goal is to work with
all athletes as soon as they arrive on campus to assess their
individual physical needs as well as provide performance testing
to know how to best prepare them for their sport.
The Strength and Conditioning Department works closely
with the coaching staff of the institute to determine the team
needs as well as the individual needs of the athletes. One of
the major goals the program is to reduce the incidence and
severity of injuries so that athletes can be on the field or court
every day. The staff also works closely with all medical staff
including athletic trainers, school nurses, doctors, physical
therapist and any other medical professionals that are working
with the athletes. This allows us to create a comprehensive plan
to best suit each and every athlete. In addition to the weight
room, we work closely with the athletes and the coaches on
other aspects of high-performance sport which may include
nutrition, flexibility, mobility and nutrition. Our program takes a
multi-year approach to develop athletes for collegiate athletics
as well as beyond to develop long healthy athletic careers and to
do this through training and education.

and Wellness, is a state of the art team training facility. It was designed to optimally
train all Montverde Academy athletic teams in a functional and effective manner.
The facility has eight fully outfitted power racks, each with a TRX suspension
system, 45 and 15 lb. Olympic hex bars and adjustable benches. It has an
indoor turf training space, which is essential for both movement and training and
conditioning. The Keiser six pack is a pneumatic cable system used by many
professional teams and is the only strength equipment that can be used for both
rehabilitation and power development. There is also a Keiser runner which is
used for both injured athletes and conditioning circuits to help stimulate sprinting
motions and display power output in average to maximum capacities. The facility
also contains two full sets of dumbbells as well as five sets of power blocks, three
Ultra slideboards, eight mini slides, six Keiser M2 bikes and a wide assortment of
medicine balls and bands to train for optimum athletic performance.

Crowley brings a wide
range of athletic, coaching,
and training experience.
Over the past 25 years,
Tim has developed several
high-level performance training facilities and has
worked with amateur and professional athletes in
virtually every sport. His athletes have won multiple
national and world championships, including two
national championships at Montverde Academy
in his first year with the boys varsity soccer and
basketball programs. Coach Crowley was a member
of the 2008 US Olympic triathlon coaching staff and
has been a member of the USA Triathlon National
Team coaching staff for the past five years. He was
the 2007 USA Triathlon Development Coach of the
Year, and the 2009 USA Triathlon Elite Coach of the
Year. Tim holds several coaching licenses with USA
Triathlon and USA Cycling, and holds certifications
with National Strength and Conditioning Association
and National Academy of Sports Medicine. Tim will
be responsible for designing individual and team
conditioning programs, overseeing all rehabilitation
programs, conducting nutritional awareness
seminars, and fitness education classes for student
athletes at all division levels at the Montverde
Academy Center for Basketball Development.

“The Nest” offers VIP bird’s-eye views from the luxury sky box, a feature
not common in high school level athletics.
The Montverde Academy Center of Sportsmanship and Wellness
or “The Nest” is a new 6.5 million dollar, 44,000 square foot
athletic facility built on the campus of Montverde Academy and
completed in November of 2012. The athletic center consists of
a innovative basketball court designed to hold approximately
1,500 people; two additional practice basketball courts, two
volleyball courts, and a state-of-the art 4,400 square foot fitness
center equipped with revolutionary fitness machinery, showers,
locker rooms, coach’s offices, film and conference rooms, and
concessions area.

Montverde Academy is an international, coeducational,
independent college preparatory school for grades PK312, with our boarding program serving grades 7-12, and
post-graduate studies. Our mission is to inspire students
to become knowledgeable leaders with global vision that
instills a passion for learning, and that nurtures character
development in a disciplined and diverse community.
Five generations of Montverde Academy graduates have
been guided by three fundamental principles: Knowledge,
Character and Community. These principles are illustrated
in the classroom through Subject Area Concentration
diplomas, as well as Advanced Placement and Honors
courses. Seventy-eight percent of our students pass the
Advanced Placement exams and 57% score a 4 or higher.
Our students have a 100% college acceptance rate,

including prestigious schools such as Harvard, Yale, MIT, and UC Berkeley.
Our 125-acre campus includes an athletic complex featuring a 400-meter
running track, soccer, baseball, softball, and football fields and four tennis
courts. A new media arts facility contains an instrumental music hall, private

recording studio.

theatre events at the Bob Carr Theatre and Amway Center as
well as on campus events such as movies, festivals, a schoolwide carnival, swimming, basketball, and more!

COLLEGE GUIDANCE
The college placement process at Montverde Academy begins early in
the high school career by immediately introducing students to several
opportunities which invites them to explore the world of college admissions,
giving them the tools necessary to navigate their educational journey beyond
Montverde Academy.
Students are encouraged to visit colleges when school is not in session as
many colleges hold open houses during the weekends and sometimes on
days when Montverde Academy is not in session. Additionally, seniors are
permitted to meet with any of the college representatives who visit Montverde
Academy annually.
Success of the Academy’s college placement process is measured by the
100% college acceptance rate. Montverde Academy graduates receive
multiple acceptances, with many receiving acceptances to their first choice
and second choice.
