(compatible with Natura® + and SUR-FIT® Natura® pouches)
Durahesive® skin barriers/wafers are designed for people whose
stoma output is mostly liquid. Unlike other skin barriers/wafers that
can break down around liquid output, Durahesive® skin barriers/
wafers swell up to protect the stoma. This special effect, called
turtlenecking, helps create a more secure seal without harming
the skin. Durahesive® skin barriers/wafers are also easy to fit, apply,
and remove. They will adhere securely to the skin while showering,
bathing, and swimming.

The Natura® + and SUR-FIT® Natura® Two-Piece Ostomy
System is ConvaTec’s most extensive two-piece product line.
The SUR-FIT® Natura® Flange System signals a secure,
accurate closure with a series of audible "clicks." A simple
snap-off, snap-on design allows users to change the pouch
quickly to match activities without removing the skin barrier
from the skin.
When it comes to Natura + and SUR-FIT Natura ostomy
products, we recommend you take a look at the innovative
pouch and skin barrier features that have been combined with
our Stomahesive® and Durahesive® adhesives. The SUR-FIT®
Natura® ostomy system offers special moldable skin barriers
for a personalized, custom fit around the stoma to help
protect skin. The Natura® + and SUR-FIT® Natura® pouches
are available in drainable, closed-end, urostomy, transparent
and opaque. In addition, they are available with a filter and the
InvisiClose® clipless tail closure.

Also available for post-operative tenderness after surgery is
the SUR-FIT® Natura® Low-Pressure Adaptor. The SUR-FIT®
Natura® Low-Pressure Adaptor allows clinicians and patients
to attach the pouch to the skin barrier without having to
press directly on the abdomen. The SUR-FIT® Natura®
Low-Pressure Adaptor can be connected to any
combination of SUR-FIT® Natura® wafers and pouches
with the same flange size.

clipless tail closure offers double security, ease of drainage, comfort

Abdomen — area of the body between the chest and
the hips in the front part of the body that contains the
digestive organs
One-piece ostomy pouching system — the skin
barrier/wafer and pouch are made as one
Adhesive Coupling TechnologyTM — a two-piece
ostomy pouching system that attaches with a tape-like
adhesive rather than plastic rings snapping together
Closed-end pouch — a pouch that has no opening at the
bottom and is removed and discarded after each use
Comfort panels — ConvaTec pouches are available
with 1-sided and 2-sided comfort panels for your convenience
Convexity — Convex products may be used when a
stoma empties at or below the skin surface; when there
are creases, wrinkles or scars near the stoma, and/or
when the abdomen is very soft around the stoma.
Drainable pouch — has an opening at the bottom
which allows stool or urine to be drained and re-closed
with a clip or self-gripping fastener hook tape
Durahesive® — is an extended wear barrier that provides the ultimate in security and adhesion for people with
liquid to semi-liquid outputs
Durahesive Plus® — is an extended wear barrier available in a one-piece cut-to-fit pouch
Film — all ConvaTec pouches have built in layers that
help reduce the rustling noise under clothing, and a built
in odor-barrier
Filter — some ConvaTec pouches have an integral filter
that helps reduce gas buildup within the pouch
Fistula — an abnormal tube-like passageway between
one hollow organ in the body and another hollow organ,
or the skin
Peristomal skin — the skin surrounding a stoma
Pouch with spout — drainage tap or spout at the
bottom of the pouch to empty urine or liquid stool
Pre-cut — some ConvaTec skin barriers are available
pre-cut to certain stoma sizes
Skin barrier/wafer — round or square-shaped with a
sticky side that is applied to the skin around the stoma
(called peristomal skin). Helps protect the skin from stool
or urine, which can be very irritating
Stoma — a surgically-created opening on the abdomen
surface. Also commonly called an ostomy. Stool or urine
leaves the body through this opening instead of the anus
or urethra
Stomahesive® — is a skin barrier that provides excellent
security for people with semi-formed to formed output
because of its special formulation that enables it to adhere
to both dry and wet skin

Colostomy— a surgically-created opening between the
large intestine (colon) and the abdominal surface
Ostomy — a surgically-created opening (called a stoma)
in the gastrointestinal system to allow the passage of stool
or in the urinary system to pass urine
Tape collar — ConvaTec skin barriers are available
with or without tape collars. Most skin barriers with tape
collars are available in white, dye-free tape or tan tape
Two-piece ostomy pouching system — skin barrier/
wafer and pouch are separate and attached together
with a round, plastic ring (called a flange). Pouch can
be easily removed without also having to remove the
skin barrier/wafer
Urostomy — a surgically created opening which allows
urine to pass
Ileostomy — a surgically-created opening between the
small intestine (ileum) and the abdominal surface
