Good Students who were recognized at
a morning spirit assembly. High 5’s go

Rylee (Rm. 7). Way to go, Super Stars!
Open
House
We cordially invite you to our annual
Open House Celebration. On
Thursday, May 23rd Arlington will be
opening our classroom doors for
families to come and see various
pieces of your child’s school year as
a Super Star! Classrooms will be
opened for families to walk with
their children right after the PTA
meeting (approximately 6:20 p.m.
until 7:20 p.m.).The event will
conclude with an ice cream social
from 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. Mark your
calendar we hope to see you there!
ATTENDANCE
AWARDS!
Congratulations to Ms. Lyu and Mrs.
Nakano’s classes for the highest
attendance percentage during the
month of April!! Ms. Lyu’s class had
75% attendance and Mrs. Nakano’s
Super Stars had 74%!!! Each student
was given a free children’s meal to the
Elephant Bar and Restaurant! Way to
Go!

MISSING
SCHOOL?
Did you know the cost for one
student absence is $35.01?
If every student increased their
attendance by 1 day that would equate
to an additional $833,000 to the District!
Last year’s Arlington’s attendance rates
were in the high 60’s and low 70s. the
drop in school attendance could have a
negative impact on funding to our
schools. Please help!

Do you plan on moving?
To help our school plan for next fall,
please let the office know if you plan on
moving out of the Arlington area. A
letter went home with students in
grades K-4th. We ask families to return
those letters as soon as possible.

E W ASTE
Recycling
Arlington school will be
collecting e-WASTE after our Open
House Event. During the week of May
28th – June 3rd families can bring in old
unwanted electronic items to the
cafeteria. Please place the items on the
pallets in the cafe. Proceeds from our eWASTE event will support Mr. Darryl’s
custodial fund. Thank you!
