All pools are available for private rentals. The pool can be rented before and
after public swim hours. All requests for rentals must be submitted at least
two weeks prior to the event date to the Aquatics Office located at Tucker
Recreation Center, 4898 LaVista Road, Room 16 in Tucker, Georgia. Full payment
is required in order to secure a reservation for a pool. All payments must be
made in the form of a cashier’s check or money order made payable to DeKalb
County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs. All rentals are $70 per hour with
a minimum of two hours and a maximum of three hours. There is also a $40
refundable clean-up fee. If age of the patrons of the pool party are 16 and
older, a security officer is required to be onsite. All security officers must be
DeKalb County off-duty police officers at a fee of $35 per hour, per officer. No
grilling of any kind is allowed on deck. NO loud or vulgar music is permitted.
Before the rental process can begin all patrons renting the pool must be at least
21 years old and present a valid picture ID. Rentals available beginning June 6 July 31. No rentals July 4. Parties are staffed by certified lifeguards.
BROWNS MILL AQUATIC RENTAL
You may reserve the Aquatic Facility for exclusive use. Private Pool Party Rentals
are available Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays after the Aquatic Facility
closes. Parties are available for 3.5 hours (8pm to 11:30pm), beginning June
6 – July 26. No rentals July 4. Parties are staffed by certified lifeguards. Party
reservations must be made at least two weeks prior to party date. Only full
payment assures reservation. All patrons renting/attending the private pool
party must be 21 years of age or older and must present proper ID at the time
of request and/or party.
The Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs currently operates 7
outdoor swimming pools and one aquatic center.Aquatic programs are offered
by the department and continue to grow at a fast pace.
Visitors to our pools will find an array of amenities for both fun and learning.
In addition to pool amenity offerings, we offer private, semi-private and group
swim lessons every summer to all ages, from structured classes to private and
semi-private lessons. Youth age eight and under must be accompanied by an
adult.
WATER AEROBICS
your cardiovascular fitness and improve your muscular endurance and overall
strength. Our water aerobics classes are often performed in chest-deep water.
This type of exercise appeals to swimmers and non-swimmers alike. If you think
that you are ready to take the plunge, join any of our water aerobics classes.
DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs sponsors recreational
swimming leagues at four swimming pools in DeKalb County. The goal of
the program includes helping young people establish a love for the sport of
swimming, advanced aquatic skills, teamwork, and the principles of good
sportsmanship.

will remain open on weekends through September 7.

SWIM LEAGUES
We are proud to offer three levels of swim lessons, Preschool, Level I and II
and Water Babies. There will be two three-week sessions offered during the
summer at select pools. Each session contains nine half-hour classes. To register
for these classes, visit the pool of your choice and complete the registration
process. Payment must accompany each application in order to be registered
for any class. All payments must be received in the form of a money order or
cashier’s check made payable to DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural
Affairs.

Swim leagues are available for youth between 5 and 18 years of age with the
DeKalb Swim League (DSL). The goal of the program is to stimulate an interest
in competitive swimming and to nurture leadership, good sportsmanship and
the values to physical fitness in youth. Dual team meets are held during the
week and on weekends during the summer months and a countywide meet is

FIVE DUAL MEETS DEKALB COUNTYWIDE MEET
June 29 & 30 (Lithonia Pool)
July 10 & 11 (Rainout)
All youth swimmers will have an opportunity to qualify through their dual
meets (season) and the final meet at Lithonia Pool. Qualifiers will represent the
county in the state finals in Cumming, Georgia July 24 and 25. Qualifiers must
swim in two dual meets to qualify. Swim team instructors/coaches will decide
on team practice times and locations.
