accessories come with an autoclavable wrench and

cataract surgery
Bimanual micro-incision cataract surgery (MICS)
has been promoted for many years. Recently the
traditional coaxial technique has seen a resurgence
in popularity. Thanks to highly sophisticated and
micro dimensioned new phaco-accessories, coaxial
micro-incision cataract surgery (COMICS) is
changing the technique of lens removal. The latest
COMICS technology allows cataract surgery with
smaller, less invasive incisions and advanced surgical techniques. Medicel coaxial micro-incision technology and accessories offers a safe and efficient
alternative to bare-needle bimanual techniques.

Experienced surgeons confirm that the micro-coaxial
technique reduces surgically induced astigmatism
and better protects the incision against endothelial
damage and thermal heat compared to bare-needle
bimanual and standard phaco.
Latest machining technologies enable
manufacturing of extremely small
titanium tips with an ID as small as
0.5 mm and an OD of 0.7 mm. In
combination with the NEW 23G infusion sleeve from Medicel, COMICS
procedures can now be performed
through incisions of Sub 2 mm without compromise on safety, efficiency
and control.
