Visitors can also enjoy boating trips on the castle lake – and a stroll through the magnificent formal gardens. Regular concerts are held in the baroque castle church. Towering above the sea and bristling with cannons, Kronborg Castle is the fictional home of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Prince of Denmark. The play is staged each summer at the castle, which enjoys UNESCO World Heritage patronage. Gavnø is one of Denmark’s greatest cultural treasures with fairytale adventures for the whole family. It is a historical experience to walk amongst the many beautiful old paintings and art interiors at the castle. The Gavnø of today has far more experiences to offer. www.kronborgcastle.com www.gavnoe.dk www.frederiksborgslot.dk .COM VisitDenmark
