Your support will help! Heartbeat of Fremont upholds the sanctity of life. We provide physical, emotional, and spiritual assistance to persons facing pregnancy issues. We seek to build a better community by stressing the virtue of chastity and promoting strong family values. We invite YOU to be part of our ministry by participating in our Walk for Life. With your help we can continue to offer the following free and confidential services: Pregnancy testing and assistance Ultrasound exams to confirm pregnancy Confidential counseling Education about pregnancy, adoption, and abortion Heartbeat/Hope Medical Walk For Life 2014 (we do not provide or refer for abortion services) Medical care referrals and information Adoption information and referrals Parenting education and counseling through the Bridges Program Parenting Support just for Fathers through the Father Factor Program Healing the Effects of Abortion Related Trauma through the H.E.A.R.T Program iKeep Abstinence Education and mentoring programs in local schools, youth groups and the Fremont Juvenile Detention Center Sexual Integrity Program includes the following topics: Setting Goals, Developing Self Worth, Identifying Road Blocks, Overcoming Road Blocks, Coping with Sexual Abuse, Healing Sexual Histories, and Living with Sexual Integrity Where do I go to walk? We will have two sites to choose from this year: Calvert High School in Tiffin-April 12 and Heartbeat/Hope Medical in Fremont-May 10. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the walk at 9 a.m. Both paths will be clearly marked and we will provide maps on the day of the walk. Questions you might ask ?? Q. “Do I have to collect the money?” A. No, you do NOT have to collect the money. Turn in your sponsor forms the day of the Walk and we’ll take care of the rest. If sponsors want to give you money, please mark “Paid Cash” or “Paid Check” below their name, and turn in the checks and/or cash with your sponsor form. (Will bill for pledges $10 or more) Q. “How far do I have to walk?” A. This is a non-competitive 2-mile walk for all ages. You will be asking your family and friends to sponsor you with a single, generous, tax-deductible gift for your participation in the 2-mile event. Q. “I’m not able to walk, what can I do?” A. FREMONT ONLY! Come out to the Walk and ROCK in one of the rocking chairs we will have available. Rock while your friends and family walk. To be sure to get a chair, pre-registration is required– call Heartbeat at 419.334.9079. Complete your sponsor forms just like the walkers–only you will be a ROCKER! Q. “What if I can’t be there that day?” A. No problem! Walk at anytime in your own neighborhood, put your sponsor form into an envelope and mail it to our address shown on this brochure. Q. “How much can I raise?” A. There’s no limit – you will be surprised how easy it is! Nine out of ten people will say YES! The more people you ask, the more help we will be able to provide to our clients. When you reach $150.00 in pledges (an average of 12 sponsors), you receive a FREE Walk for Life t-shirt and the top ten walkers will receive a Walk for Life sweatshirt. This year...The top three youth (18 years or younger) raising the most amount of money will receive a cash prize...1st place-$100, 2nd place-$75, and 3rd place-$50. ?? Questions you might ask ?? Q. “Who do I ask to sponsor me? A. Ask everyone you know! You will be surprised at the number of people who will support you. Sponsor Ideas At work: co-workers, staff, your boss Shopping: clerks Friends: church, clubs, neighbors Family: parents, siblings, extended family Q. “What else will be at the Walk-A-Thon?” A. Free bottled water, coffee, and healthy snacks will be available. Tours of the Center will be offered throughout the morning as well as the opportunity to meet with staff members and volunteers. We will have Walk for Life t-shirts and sweatshirts for sale. Q. “How do I get involved?” A. Pre-register by calling us at 419.334.9079 in Fremont, 567.220.7024 in Tiffin or online at www.friendsofheartbeat.org (when you register online, you’ll receive your own personal fundraising page that you can post on any social network site and email to all your friends and family). Then, fill in your sponsor form. You will be amazed how quickly you fill a sponsor form. Please be sure that your sponsors’ names and addresses are complete and easy to read. Double check zip codes; accurate zip codes save hours of volunteers’ time. Make sure your name is at the top of the sponsor form. Completed sponsor forms can be mailed to Heartbeat or brought with you on the day of the Walk. *If you are raising money online, print off your online donation list and bring it with you the day of the Walk. Please make as many copies of any of the materials that you need or call us for additional copies.
