Message from the Prez . . .
ACCC Membership has finally grown to 100!!! Just
about the time the thermometer went to 100!
Any way the temperature beginning to subside and fall
will be here soon. Great weather for driving the 'Vette.
Blacktop Nationals came off fine despite the heat.
Several good looking Corvettes including Ron's (with a
new, larger "heater") and Bob's.
Art & Darlene Drove the ACCC club out of town to
McPherson, apparently had a good time at Knacki's
BBQ and reported these numbers-----20-38-10-1.5-45. Check with him, he will decipher.
(!!?!)
Everyone, who is going to Eureka Springs Corvette
meet in October..............I hope you have checked in
with Kevin Mansfield or made sure your
accommodations are firm. There are many activities
planned for the weekend. Oh, and this year NO RAIN!
We will be getting some updates on other activities at
the General Meeting, September 3rd @ Davis-Moore
Chevrolet West Kellogg.

Minutes from the August 6, 2014 ACCC Meeting

Friday, September 12th
Drive & Eat
David Hart Called the meeting to order.
We had two guest couples, Victor and Barbara Cooper who drive a
08 Red Convertible, and Barb and Pete Menefee with a Black 2014
Stingray Convertible.
We had a couple of new members in attendance. Brian Freeman
who owns a 2012 Corvette, and John Larimor who has a 2014
Corvette Stingray in Night race Blue.
Daryl Burbach made a motion to accept the minutes from the July
meeting, a second from Kurt Geis, and The motion passed.
Travis Pearson suggested a drive and shoot as an event the club
might enjoy. Several members thought this might be a good idea.
Several options were suggested, including Sporting clays or a trip to
a pistol and rifle range.
Dennis Thomas also suggested a club cookout and noted we had
discussed a trip to Tanganyika zoo in the past.
Glen Baily also suggested a trip to the salt mine in Hutchison.
David asked Travis, Dennis and Glen to follow up on the
suggestions and see if we can get a couple of them scheduled.
August Birthdays included Debbie Schmitz, Linda Tillman, and
Dallas Keller. No ages were given.
Travis Reported the Blacktop Nationals would be August 22 – 24
this year, and that the Autocross course would be at the Kansas
Star Casino in Mulvane Saturday and Sunday.
Monte Rans and Greg McGehee also talked about the Blacktop Nationals Greg was looking for people with
racecars to put in the Gasoline alley exhibit.
Monte also said the $5.00 wristband would be good for the weekend this year.
Travis gave a rundown of the Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend for the new members who have not been
there. Glen Baily mentioned that online registration is available this year. This year it will be October 2nd – 5th.
Travis Said that Registration for the Texas Mile will open Sunday August 10th. He also noted that it would
probably fill up in a couple of hours.
Art Warren reported the Drive and Dine would be to Knackies in McPherson. The group will leave from the
Truck Stop at exit 13 in Park City at 5:30pm
Gary Jones reported we had $1678.79 in the checking account and 19.75 in Cash.
The 50/50 pot was $44.00 dollars with the winner who will remain anonymous got $22.00.
Dennis Thomas won the door prize and selected a Tee shirt.

Membership Application
Regular Membership dues for ACCC are $50.00 per year for new members and $45.00 per year for renewals.
Membership dues include ACCC spouse membership and one National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) membership.
If you already have an NCCC membership elsewhere, Regular Membership dues for ACCC are $25.00 per year for new
members and $20.00 per year for renewals. Please specify the following:

Associate membership, designed for the non-Corvette owner, is $25.00 per year for new members and $20.00 per year
for renewals. Associate members are entitled to all the privileges of regular membership with the exception of voting and/or
holding office. Associate membership does not include NCCC membership.
ACCC requires all members to be at least 18 years of age and hold a current valid driver's license.
Dues for renewals are payable on September 1st and are considered delinquent after the November ACCC meeting.
Renewals received after the November meeting will be considered as new. Memberships received after September 1st will
be valid through the next calendar year.

Wednesday of each month at Davis-Moore Chevrolet, 8200 W. Kellogg Drive, Wichita, Kansas unless otherwise stated.
The Newsletter is published monthly for the members of the Air Capital Corvette
Club and other Car Clubs who wish to share newsletters or information with our
club. Non-members who would like to receive the newsletter can receive a one year
subscription by sending $5.00 (to cover postage) to: Air Capital Corvette Club, P.O.
