Catalan Cluster of the Automotive Industry
Mission: bringing together companies linked to the
automotive sector in order to increase
competitiveness through projects that help creating
jobs, re-industrializing and strengthening the sector
and placing it within the global context
• They represent 160 companies and institutions, including
manufacturers, components suppliers and other
associative services
• They represent more than 14,000 million euros in
turnover and give jobs to more than 35,000 people
• CIAC organizes workshops, conferences and some
presentations in order to internationalize their members
and to boost the collaboration between them
• It develops more than 40 projects in education,
logistics, competitiveness, technology, innovation and emobility

• The objective is to expand the Catalan motorcycle
industry around the world, having innovation
(incorporation of new technologies, cleaner) as the main
competitive advantage for companies.
• We represent 63 companies and institutions (87%
SMEs).
• More or less 1,195 people working directly with them
• A global turnover of more than 250 million euros
• With an 85% of export volume
• We have promoted design projects and technological
development, purchase and sell (using an Export
Manager and an outlet project) and transversal,
including more specialized and professional training

Is the Catalan cluster for the sport industry
• Its mission is to bring together all the companies and
institutions related to the sport industry, in order to
develop actions that improve the competitiveness
of the companies and of their environment.
• We represent 75 companies and institutions,
• A global turnover of more than 1,000 million euros, that
belongs to the 3 big segments of the sport industry:
events, facilities and consumer goods
• Since 2010 we have developed more than 20 own
projects and promoted more than 50 projects together
with our members. We continue growing day by day and
we are working hard to become a benchmark for
sports clusters worldwide.

MAIN GOALS
• To maximize the activity and increase the Motorsport Industry competitiveness in
Catalonia
• To identify the development degree and to detect opportunities that maximize
their regional impact
• To define a roadmap to achieve the wanted growth, that covers all the present and
future needs of the different agents related to Motorsport in Catalonia
• To promote the interest and participation in a common project that wants to
improve Motorsport in Catalonia. To attract adhesions between the different actors
and to promote collaborations in all levels
