“Always Focusing on Katy” Scholarship
Application Eligibility Requirements
The Grand Vision Center Scholarship is open to any High School senior within Katy ISD address. The
scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:

Financial need
Clearly defined career goals
Extracurricular activities, work experience, leadership skills
A grade point average of 2.5 or higher is required.
Full time enrollment of 9 credit hours or more at any upper level institution.
Only complete, legible applications will be considered.
Each application must include two one-page typed essay’s explaining the nature of applicant’s financial
need and career goals.
Each application must include a copy of applicant’s high school transcript.
Applicants must be a United States citizen.
The scholarship amount will be $1,000.
Scholarship winners will be announced at the annual High School Awards Assembly for each High School
listed above.
Payment of scholarship funds will be made directly to the winning candidate(s). Proof of registration is
required before any funds are released.
All completed scholarship applications are due in the High School counselor’s office by 3:10 PM,
Tuesday, March 22, 2013.
