CANYON PORT - HARBOR ISLAND, LLC Former OVERVIEW Canyon Port’s Harbor Island facility is a private, deep-water port complex at the entrance of the Corpus Christi ship channel, near the intersection of the Intracoastal Waterway. The site is conveniently located on Highway 361, adjacent to the Aransas ferry. Under Canyon leadership, the facility has been completely renovated to a state of the art deep-water port providing supply and logistics services for oil, gas and other operations in the western Gulf of Mexico and the onshore EagleFord Shale basin. CANYON PORT – HARBOR ISLAND, LLC 2 A PREMIER FACILITY Canyon Port’s mission is to develop a world-class, private energy deep-water port complex. The future of U.S. domestic oil and gas production can be found in the deep-water canyons of the western Gulf of Mexico and nearby onshore shale formations including EagleFord. Internationally, these hydrocarbon rich formations extend into neighboring Mexico. Canyon Port is a mere 100 nautical miles from the huge reserves being discovered in the Perdido deep-water canyon. Canyon Port is also the closest deep-water port servicing EagleFord, making it ideally situated to support necessary oilfield service activities as this production is brought online. Port Fourchon, Louisiana is currently the largest oil field port dedicated to supporting offshore drilling, providing logistical services and facilities to over 90% of the oil field operations in the Gulf. Port Fourchon services the nearby existing shallow-water wells off the coasts of Louisian, Missippi and Alabama in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Witnessing the industry’s movement toward deep-water drilling in the western Gulf and recognizing the urgent need for a better-situated, modern facility in the region, industry veterans and directors Mark Meier, Larry Ramming and Dick Fuqua founded Canyon in 2009 to service the supply and logistics needs of the western Gulf of Mexico. Since that time, Canyon Port’s Harbor Island facility has commenced operations and is nearing completion of its multimillion-dollar capital improvement program to the site. Canyon Port also serves to limit the cost in dollars and environmental impact of supplying deep-water drilling rigs. The port’s proximity to the Perdido basin limits the travel time for supply vessels and the response time for emergency personnel in the event of potential accidents in the region.
