About the Family
Hazel and I have been married since 2011. We have a beautiful son
named Joshua, born October 4, 2015. Hazel was raised in the West
Side neighborhood of Jersey City and has lived there most of her life. I
was born in Jersey City, but I also have roots across New Jersey and
Upstate New York.

For years I worked bivocationally as an IT professional while serving as
an associate pastor in a family-oriented church in Garfield, N.J. My time
there cultivated a passion within me to develop strong leaders and to
develop local church communities where they are most needed.
In 2014, I resigned from my IT position and moved to the West Side
neighborhood of Jersey City. I am being coached and mentored by
Hoboken Grace lead pastor, Chris High, and am also in a leadership
development program where I can learn directly under Tim Keller and
his team with Redeemer City to City. All this is with hope that a new
church can be established to reach the people in our beautiful city.
About the Church Plant
God is always working to bring people to Himself, and we believe God
uses the local church to make that happen. Jersey City needs a local
church that will begin to target the diverse families in this community
and bring a message of reconciliation and hope across cultural,
socio-economic and generational barriers. The question is not whether
the need is there; the question is whether we will join God in taking the
gospel to these people!
Since spring 2015, we have been gathering a group of individuals and
families to serve the community and to explore what it means to be a
gospel-centered community in our neighborhood. We're excited to see
the love and message of Jesus transform our community!
