There will be no exchanges or refunds on items. • The Auction Committee has strived to provide a program book and described the items and services correctly, but all items are sold “as is”. Certain auction items and/or services may have some restrictions or qualifications which may affect the value. The items are not negotiable. Please read carefully the specifications and limitations. • The Auction Committee makes no warranties, expressed or implied, or representations of any kind of nature with respect to the property or services, and in no event will be responsible for the correctness or description, genuineness, authenticity of the property or services; no descriptions written or stated in the book or made at the sale or in the bill or sale or invoice or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty or representation of an assumption of liability. By his or her purchase, the buyer waives any claims of liability against either Our Lady of Mt. Carmel or the Donor of the property/services, and neither Our Lady of Mt. Carmel nor the Donor is responsible for any personal injuries or damages to property that result from the utilization of property or services sold. • PAYMENT BY THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER MUST BE MADE AT THE CASHIER AREA BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Winners will be posted near the cashier’s station throughout the night. Please check the board to see if you’ve won any items. You may pay and claim your items at any time after 9:00 p.m. Payment may be made with cash, personal check (payable to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel PTG), VISA or MASTERCARD. • All items and services are subject to terms and conditions set forth by the donor. Silent Auction • All items in the Silent Auction Area have an assigned number. A bid sheet with that number is located near the item. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MAY THE BID SHEET BE REMOVED FROM THE TABLE. • To bid, write your name or bidding (admission ticket) number and the amount of your bid on the bid sheet. The bid on the bidding sheet must be greater than or equal to the stated “minimum bid.” Each new bid must be at least $5.00 more than the last bid. If at least the “minimum bid” or raise is not bid, the bid will not be valid. • Please note the closing time of the tables. Table closings will be posted in the Silent Auction area. The highest bid on the bid sheet will be deemed the winner (Except for Countdown Auction, See Countdown Auction Rules). • EACH BID OBLIGATES THE BIDDER TO PAY HIS/HER BID PRICE IN FULL IF HIS/HER BID IS DEEMED THE WINNING BID AT THE TIME THE TABLE CLOSES TO FURTHER BIDS. • You may bid on each item as many times as you wish. After you have made your bid, please allow others to bid. When time is up, please comply with the Auction workers by placing any and all pens on the table and backing out of the area. Thank you. 2 Countdown Auction • • • • • • Please note the times posted at the Countdown Auction tables. All silent bidding will end and The Countdown Auction will begin at the times posted. The highest bid from the silent bid sheets will be posted by the items’ assigned number on “The Big Board” located on the stage. A countdown clock will be set at 2:00 minutes. During the 2 minutes, anyone interested in outbidding the highest bid listed for any item may do so by filling out a “bid slip” with the correct item number, your bid number/name and your proposed bid amount, then place your completed bid slip into the basket on the stage. Bids can be rounded to the nearest dollar during the count down. The board will be updated during the 2 minutes to show the new high bid. When time runs out the highest bid received by bid slip will be deemed the winner. Buy it Now Just like eBay, if you find an Auction item with a "Buy it Now" dollar amount, you can assure yourself the pleasure of acquiring that item by entering your name and bid number next to the "Buy it Now" price. Table monitors will be moving about the silent auction closing auction lots with "Buy it Now" entries. Carmel Schools 4 KID’S SPOTLIGHT “The Ants’ Picnic” Kindergarten The Kindergarten class used their index fingers to paint these adorable “picnic pests.” This serving dish is the perfect addition for your perfect day. “Thumb-Buddy Loves You” 1st Grade The 1st Grade class used their thumbprints to make flowers, caterpillars, butterflies and bumblebees on a serving platter. Spring is definitely in the air in this class. “C is for Cookie” 2nd Grade This cookie jar is an adorable piece with each cookie hand-painted by the 2nd grade class. Fill it up and wait to see “who stole the cookie from this cookie jar.” “The Greatest Gift” 3rd Grade The 3rd grade class proved through their creativity that the greatest gift is family. Each gift is hand-painted and handled with care. It’s sure to unwrap a smile every time you use it. “The Four Seasons” 4th Grade The 4th grade class hand-painted the individual tiles surrounding a mirror to reflect the wonders of the seasons. Displaying this beauty gives you plenty of reasons to celebrate the seasons year round. “LOVE” 5th Grade This beautiful plate has a lot of heart. Each heart was painted with tender loving care by the 5th grade class. “Football Fever” 6th Grade The 6th grade class showed their team spirit by hand-painting this party platter. Serve up some fun at your next tailgating party. “Celebrate” 7th Grade The 7th grade class painted this cake platter, and it’s sure to make your parties “POP.” You can “celebrate good times” for years to come. “Autumn Leaves” 8th Grade The 8th grade class took their time to re-create the beauty of changing leaves. As the autumn days grow long, this serving platter is sure to brighten your gatherings.
