Photographs may also be taken on Bray Seafront, nearby Powerscourt, Kilruddery House Gardens or in our Courtyard Garden Guests arrive at The Royal Hotel Guests arrive for the Welcome Drinks Reception chosen by you Bride and Groom arrival The Hotel Management Team will extend a red carpet welcome to our Bride & Groom with a complimentary Glass of Champagne Dinner Call The Head Waiter will call you and your party for dinner 30 minutes before dinner is served Bride and Groom are announced The Bride & Groom will be announced into dinner by our Head Waiter Top Table Seating Dinner Dinner is served Clergy Groom’s Father Groom’s Mother Best man Groom & Bride Bridesmaid Bride’s Mother Bride’s Father Bride and Groom Cut the Cake Either before or after the speeches, the toastmaster, master of ceremonies or Best man announces the cutting of the cake. After the Bride and Groom have made the first cut, the cake is cut and served to the guests. You may also wish to serve cake at the evening reception Speeches and Toast These follow the meal. The Bride’s father speaks first to toast the couple. The Groom replies on behalf of the Bride and thanks the Bride’s parents for the wedding, the guests for their presents and then toasts the Bridesmaids. The Best man replies on behalf of the Bridesmaids, and reads out any messages sent by people unable to attend Band/DJ Band or DJ will start entertainment for the evening Evening Guests Arrive Evening guests will begin to arrive Bride and Groom The Best man will announce the departure of the Bride and Groom. The Bride throws her bouquet Wedding Terms & Conditions Powerscourt Suite Full: Minimum 100 Maximum 280 Powerscourt Suite Half: Minimum 80 Maximum 100 The Hotel will not consider the booking definite until a signed contract and the Hotel has received initial deposit of €400.00. The Hotel reserves the right to refund deposits in circumstances where a booking was made through a third party or under false pretenses. Prospective clients must always meet with a member of Management by appointment, prior to acceptance of the first deposit. In the event of any cancellation by the client, the following cancellation charges will be incurred: If a cancellation is received 5 months prior to date of event – 25% of services booked Between 5 and 3 months prior to date of event – 50% of services booked Between 2 and 1 month prior to date of event – 75% of services booked Within 24 hours of arrival date – 100% of event Cancellation charges will include all items that have been pre booked In the event of the wedding reception being postponed: Should you be forced to postpone your wedding the original deposit paid may be transferred to a date booked within six months of the original date. A second postponement will result in a full forfeit of the deposit. We do require written confirmation for any cancelled event. All prices quoted are in Euro and are subject to review. Final numbers must be submitted to the hotel 72 hours prior to your reception and these will be the minimum numbers charged for. Increases in your numbers attending will be charged accordingly. Numbers may not reduce by more than 10% of the numbers originally booked and not below minimum numbers. All accounts must be settled not later than 7 days (14 days for cheque payments) in advance of your wedding reception. In order to facilitate you with this we will provide you with a pro-forma invoice. A credit card must be given for guarantee. Amounts outstanding on the day will automatically be charge to the credit card. The Client undertakes to make good any damage caused by him or her or any guest they invite whether in the function room or any part of the hotel to the satisfaction of the Management. The Hotel is not liable for any loss or damage to property owned by or in the custody of the client or their guests. The Hotel reserves the right to cancel an event in the following circumstances: The Hotel believes the booking might prejudice the reputation of the Hotel In circumstances hen a booking is made through a third party or false pretense's The hotel will not accept responsibility for any entertainment that has not been reserved directly with the hotel. However, it is essential that all entertainment arrangements have the approval of the hotel management, prior to the date of your reception. All entertainers must provide their own equipment and accept full responsibility for same. No food or beverage may be served or consumed on the premises unless supplied by the Hotel. This clause does not apply to the Wedding Cake. The Royal Hotel Bray reserves the right to amend charges/costs of the product being supplied to the client in the event of changes in the rate of tax, the introduction of any governmental levy, or as a result of unforeseen supplier increases due to the market demand and/or lack of supply of the products required. The Royal Hotel Bray reserves the right to amend prices without prior notice. In the event that a contract has been signed by both parties, prices stated thereon will be those charged. The Royal Hotel Bray reserves the right to host additional events in suites not reserved by the client. Such additional events may also have the same timings, and include, but are not limited to, wedding receptions, banquets, conferences and/or dinner parties. Special offers and discounts are only available based on the terms outlined at the time the special offer/discount is agreed. In the event that the terms are not met the special offer/discount will not apply The Royal Hotel Bray offers a maximum of ten rooms at the Wedding rate. These rooms are offered on the basis that the bride and groom guarantee payment for the rooms. Additional rooms will be charged at the normal price. Residents are permitted to drink in the Residents Bar, however this facility is strictly for residents only. It remains open at the discretion of the Night Manager. The use of cello tape or blue tack is not permitted in the function rooms. Any usage on the walls will incur a charge. The Royal Hotel Bray reserves the right to have security present for the event. The cost of Security will be paid by the Bride and Groom.
