WE NEED YOU!
Chat over coffee and help a St. Kate’s student!
A class of college students at the University of St. Catherine needs your help for a class
project. This group of about 25 college students is studying good communication skills.
As part of their class, they would like to practice their conversational communication
skills with you.
What’s involved? First, enjoy coffee and cookies at two structured large-group
meetings at Merriam Park Community Center —
Friday, October 16, 11:05 – 11:55 a.m. or
Friday, November 20, 11:05 – 11:55 a.m.
FREE!
Second, be available for one or two meetings with an individual student or small group
of students, to be completed before Thanksgiving. You and your student(s) will be free
to choose any subjects of mutual interest to discuss, such as hobbies now or in your
earlier life, your experiences as a young person compared to theirs, your families,
educational experiences or any other topics that spark interest.
Your responsibility as a participant will be to attend the large-group meetings and
be willing to meet with and have additional conversations with college-age students.
Please note: you must be willing to share your contact information (either phone
number or email address) so that the student may contact you to set up the meetings.
Questions? To sign up or get more information,
call us at the Keystone Senior Center at 651-645-7424.
