Children+s studios are held every Sunday from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.,
free of charge, no reservations required. Workshops with artists
from Wildervanck in Kunst are available .ages 6-12, reservations

In 1902, at the age of 22, Paul

The relationship between Klee and Cobra forms the
Klee rediscovered his own childhood drawings, sparking

Klee and Cobra
For many artists in the
1940s and 1950s, Paul Klee was an important source of
inspiration. This was certainly true for a collective of
young Dutch avant-garde artists who strove to achieve
a new and spontaneous art. In 1948, together with
kindred spirits in Belgium and Denmark, they joined
forces as Cobra. Paul Klee had died eight years before,
but his work had nonetheless left an indelible impression.
