Big Rock Campground is also nearby the Forest Preserve
District-owned Deer Valley Golf Course. This 9-hole,
par 3 layout is enjoyable for golfers of all levels, from
beginners to those more experienced.
The District gratefully acknowledges the Illinois Department of
Natural Resources (IDNR) for their assistance in this project.
This project received assistance through the federally funded
Recreational Trails Program (RTP), as well as an Open Space
Land Acquisition & Development (OSLAD) grant to invest in and
develop the site. Both grant programs are administered by IDNR.

Introduction to Camping
Have you ever wanted to try camping but
don’t have a tent or the experience to do so?
Try it out with our “Camp with a Ranger:

you set-up camp and periodically checkin on your progress. Advance program
registration is required. Call 630-232-1242

with a Ranger program.
