Luke and Colleen Logan
Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to consider us as potential
parents of your dear child. We are a happy, healthy, fun
loving couple excited and ready to become first time
parents through adoption. We are grateful that you are
considering adoption as a part of your birth plan. We
understand that you are searching for a loving home for
your baby and we hope we will be a positive part of your
decision-making journey.
Our desire for a family is simple. We will love, guide and
support our child so that he or she will become the best
person he or she can be. Our parenting style will be calm,
consistent, respectful and focused on learning and
love. We can’t wait to welcome a baby into our family and
our home as we have so much love to give. We picture
ourselves cuddling, changing diapers, and giving lots of
hugs and kisses to our little one. We have hoped and
prayed for a child. Infertility treatments have not been
successful, so we begin our quest to adopt our baby. It is a
comfort to know there is a mother who desires to place her
child with our loving family.

About Us
Our story began in 1997 when we met at a concert. We became best
friends. We both knew early on in our relationship that we would be
together forever because we couldn’t imagine life any other way. We
spent our summer’s wakeboarding on the Sacramento River with friends
and snowboarding in Tahoe during the winter. Luke says, “I fell in love
with Colleen’s independent, adventurous attitude. I was overjoyed to find a
beautiful woman who shared the same amount of joy as I did in my favorite
hobbies.” Colleen “fell in love with Luke’s positive attitude toward life and
his desire to be there to help friends and family when needed. I
appreciate his ‘old school’ manner of ladies first, and I find it endearing
when he goes out of his way for others “. Our mutual love of animals was
obvious as we shared all our adventures with our dog, Billy.
After a long engagement, we were married in 2005 on our favorite beach
surrounded by our friends and family. Our wedding reception was
celebrated at Colleen’s parents home that Luke beautifully landscaped for
the occasion. Our dog Billy was the ring bearer on our special day. We

Married July 9, 2005
Before we were married we knew we wanted to have children. We tried for
a natural pregnancy for many years. We have concluded it is time to seek
our baby through a birthmother who wants to place her precious child with
a couple like us. We love each other, and will always love our child, or
children, unconditionally.
Our Lifestyle
Since we are both outdoor enthusiasts, we have chosen to live
near the beach in a great neighborhood in Northern California.
There are many amenities including walks on the beach with our
new dog Lucky, bicycle rides, taking long drives in the redwoods
and coming home to our warm and inviting craftsman style
home. Adjacent to our home is a park where we picture playing
with our child, climbing on the monkey bars and using the swings
with lots of laughter. Luke’s parents live around the corner
and Colleen’s parents live only minutes away. All the
grandparents plan to be an important part of our child’s life and
look forward to guiding, nurturing, and frequently spoiling their new
grandchild.
Our home in Santa Cruz, CA
Our jobs provide a financially comfortable lifestyle that allows us to have fun on our time off. We enjoy going to the
beach, camping, wakeboarding, snowboarding, golfing and spending time with friends and family. When weekends
come along, we sometimes take the camper to our favorite campsites. On occasion our parents and grandparents
join us. We dream about sharing this time with a child of our own. Once a year our family has a reunion at Colleen’s
parents home. The get together includes aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, parents, grandparents, and many
long time family friends. All of our family and friends look forward to welcoming our new addition to the family.

Luke and Colleen with Luke’s grandparents, mom & dad About Luke (age 40)
I grew up in a suburb of Sacramento. My sister is 13 months older, and
my brother is only 11 months younger than me. My relationships with
my parents and siblings are very strong and fortunately, we all live
close to each other. While growing up, we spent a lot of time with our
grandparents. I learned many important things about life from watching
them; values such as having a family who loves you, how to be
responsible, and always do your best to be happy in spite of life‘s
problems.
I continue to enjoy sports, but now I have just as much fun working with Colleen on home remodeling projects and maintaining
our beautiful yard. I deeply love my wife, my dog, our families and friends, and hopefully soon, our baby (not necessarily in that
order!). I’ve worked in nursing homes, as a gardener, cook, and nurse aide. I am a licensed landscape contractor and owned
my own business for 18 years. I currently work full time as a landscaper for a local school district. I get a lot of satisfaction in
this job as it provides the security and benefits I want for my family. It also allows me more time with my family than I had while
running my business. I look forward to teaching my child the value of family, healthy relationships, and a providing for a good
education. I also can’t wait to share the joy of experiencing new adventures in life with my child. Colleen and Luke with Colleen’s sister, niece & mom
About Colleen (age 37)
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am the youngest of three
girls. I am very close to my sisters and their children (4 nieces and 2
nephews.). I am proud of the love my parents still have for each
other after being married for 43 years. My mom and dad raised my
sister’s and I based on Christian values. While growing up I was
taught to value family, become a confident responsible adult, and to
have an understanding and awareness of others.
I have always loved children and started babysitting as early as I could. I grew up with a personal goal to work with children and to
be a mentor and an encourager. I became an elementary school teacher and worked in that profession for 12 years. I returned to
school to become a registered nurse and eventually will work as a pediatric nurse. Nursing allows me to work 4 days a week and be
home more to enjoy good times with my husband and future baby. My strengths are my calm and sincere personality, my
excitement with life and all the possibilities it holds, my love for my husband and family, my ambition, and determination to achieve
my goals. I am also a great homemaker and cook! I am ready to rise to the occasion of raising a child of my own. I look forward to
teaching my child the same Christian values my parents instilled in me. I can’t wait to provide my child opportunities that involve
making learning fun, interacting with others, and experiencing new things for the first time.
