The Opportunity:
The New Brighton Residents Association would like to present you with the
opportunity to become more involved within the community of New Brighton, during
our fiscal year of April 1st, 2016 to March 31st, 2017.

Who we are and what we do!
The New Brighton Residents Association is a non-profit organization, which is
professionally managed and maintained to ensure that New Brighton’s community
features, amenities, and facility continues to be both esthetically pleasing and
conveniently available for the long term use of its residents.
The NBRA also offers many special events, sports and recreation programs throughout
the year, designed for all age groups.
The Residents Associations hosts a number of complementary events through the year to
build upon and grow our “sense of community” among residents. These events can
attract as many as 3300 guests! Some of the NBRA’s annual events include: 3 on 3
Hockey Tournament, Easter, Stampede Breakfast, Christmas and so many more!!

Single Event Sponsorship:
Each event is uniquely designed, therefore; the price for single event sponsorship is dependant
on many factors (the size or the event, popularity, event requirements, needed supplies, etc.)
The option to sponsor an individual event is entirely yours, feel free to choose the event which
you feels best promotes your establishment! Many businesses choose to sponsor more than one
individual event to take advantage of this added exposure and to promote the company name
Sponsorship Packages:
If your business is interested in getting the “best bang for your buck”, we recommend that you
consider taking advantage of one our three tiers of the “Sponsorship Packages”. These
packages vary in size, cost and recognition! Be sure to act quickly, as there are a limited number
of packages available for each tier!

Community Street Market
Saturday, May 7th, 2016: 9-3 pm
Come shop with us!
The New Brighton Residents Association will be hosting our
Annual “Community Street Market” at the NBRA Clubhouse
and community on Saturday, May 7th from 9-3pm. Come visit
us to browse the many tables on site and grab a map to
check out a variety of garage sales occurring throughout to
community and find your treasure!
Make a day of it by grabbing lunch with us! “Perogy Boyz”
and “Vasili’s” food trucks will also be on site, if you would like
to purchase a tasty treat!
Looking for a mother’s day gift? No problem! We will have a
special treat to help you show mom how special she is.
Expected Attendance: 1000

NBRA Beer Gardens
Saturday, June 11th, 2016: 6-10 pm
Get to know your neighbours in a relaxed setting at the New
Brighton Clubhouse during the NBRA’s 2nd Annual Beer
Gardens within the Tennis Courts of the park. A live band,
outdoor games and of course beer await! It’s the perfect
chance to spend time with your neighbours!
All participants must be 18+ to attend and ID will be required
at the entrance for all.
Need a babysitter? We will be holding a movie night in the
clubhouse for the duration of the event so kids can come
hang out while parents enjoy the gardens.

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament
Saturday, June 11th, 2016: 9-5 pm
Introducing our first 3 on 3 Basketball Tourney! Join us for an
action packed day of half court 3 on 3 games, followed by a
nail biting full court final as team’s battle for the gold.
The tournament will consist of 8 teams, with at least 1
member being a New Brighton Resident. Registration must
be completed in person so please stop by the office to pick
up your teams registration package, starting February 12th,
2016. Cost to register is $50 a team, prizes will be awarded
for 1st, 2nd and 3rd! Be sure you register your team soon as
space is limit and this tournament will full up quickly!

Stampede Breakfast
Saturday, July 16th, 2016: 9-12pm
Yee-haw!! Country season is upon us and this means our
annual Stampede Breakfast is just around the corner! Dust
off your cowboy hat and boots, and get ready to kick up your
heels! Join us Saturday, July 16th and enjoy breakfast on us
with pancakes, country line dancing, petting Zoo, bouncers,
photo booths, a live band and fun western games!
RSVP is not required for this event, but be sure to grab your
friends and family to mosey on down to the New Brighton
Club for the best Stampede Breakfast in Cowtown!

Lawn Chair Theater
Friday, August 12th, 2016: 9-12am
It’s movie night in New Brighton! The NBRA will be hosting
our outdoor movie event, Friday, August 12th. Show starts at
10pm, so grab your PJ’s, blankets and head down to the
NBRA Park to save your seats. We will have snacks, drinks
and of course the big screen to enjoy as you watch the
show!

Harvest Fest
Saturday, September 10th, 2016: 12-3pm
It’s fall again! This means it’s time to celebrate our 3rd annual
Harvest Fest, New Brighton’s combination of fall and
thanksgiving.
Enjoy fresh corn on the cob with our corn boil, enter our pie
and jam making contests or just take part in the day’s many
activities including: a bouncer, airbrush tattoo’s, hay rides
and many more fall themed activities!

Spook Up Your Home Contest
Judged Wednesday October 26th @ 7pm
The NBRA is looking for the spookiest home in New
Brighton! Celebrate this Halloween by showing the
community your most terrifying decorations & haunting
effects. Submit a picture of your home including your
address for our judges to check out in person to
[email protected] before the cut off on
October 25th, 2016
Prizes will be awarded for the 3 most creative and spooky
homes in New Brighton
So get decorating! The contest will be judged @ 7pm on
Wednesday October 26th.

Monster Mash Dance
Saturday, October 29th, 2016: 7-10pm
Tween’s and teens who are looking for a thrilling night are
invited to join us for our Monster Mash Dance Party. Grab
your costume and friends for the spookiest party in town! So
come haunt our walls! Doors open at 7pm, pop and snacks
available for a $1 each. This dance is free for residents
(membership cards must be available at the door), $2 for
non-residents, payable at the doors. Prizes will be awarded
for the best costume

A Halloween Spooktacular
Monday October 31st, 2016: 5-8pm
Something’s brewing inside the Clubhouse this “All Hallows
Eve.” Join us if you dare, for the spookiest night of the year!
Tricks and treats will be supplied to all our Halloween decked
out little ones, including pumpkin craving and a photo booth
to help capture all the haunting memories of the night.

business logo will be attached to all trick or treat bags

Christmas Craft Market
Saturday, November 19th, 2016: 10-3pm
Make it a holiday to remember by joining us Saturday,
November 19st for our Annual Christmas Craft Market and
browse the booths of local artists, craft makers and home
based businesses! You are sure to find that perfect unique
gift, addition(s) to your decoration collection, or leave with
ideas to make this year the best yet!
Admission is free for shoppers, however in the spirit of the
season we ask you bring a non-perishable item to be
donated to the Calgary Food Bank and help those in need
this year.

take part in several festive activities that are sure to leave

Brighton Up Your Home Contest
Judged Wednesday December 14th @ 7pm
We invite our New Brighton residents to Brighton up their
homes this holiday season! Ringing in the spirit of the
holidays with brightly shinning homes that will make every
child and adult’s face light up as they walk past the
amazingly decorated home in the community. Prizes will be
awarded for the 3 most creative, brightly lit home in New
Brighton. There is no need to register for this contest, as all
of the communities’ decorated homes will automatically be
entered. However; to ensure your home is seen please email
our Recreation Coordinator at [email protected] with
your address. It’s time to get decorating! The contest will be
judged on December 14th @ 7pm.

12th Annual 3 on 3 Hockey Tournament
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
January 20, 12st & 22nd, 2017
It’s time once again to take in some exhilarating action with 3
days of Canada’s favorite sport, with our 12th Annual 3 on 3
hockey tournament!
Starting Friday January 27th from 6pm to 9:30 and continuing
Saturday January 28th and Sunday January 29th from 9am to
6:30pm; players 16 years and older are eligible to show off
their skills in a head to head competition, facing off with
neighbours and friends! The Tournament will consist of 16
teams all playing for the gold! Be sure to register your team
soon, as space is limit and this tournament will fill up quickly!
Not a hockey player? There will be hot chocolate, games,
winter activities and of course nail biting action!

An Affair of the Heart
Saturday February 4th, 2017: 6-9pm
Love is in the air! We want to share this loving feeling with
the couples of New Brighton. This Valentine’s Day weekend,
we invite you to spend a date night with us! Wine tasting,
painting, and food pairing await! This event is open to adults
(18+) RSVP is required on our website www.newbrightonconnect.com. Due to the nature of the event tickets are $20
per person or $35 per couple and will be sold prior to the
event.
We didn’t forget the Valentines Day skate, we hope to see
everyone out creating lasting memories over the warmth of
our bonfire! Joining us for date night? Supervised skates will
be happening from 6-9pm so bring your little ones!
