Energy Efficient Swimming Pool Pumps
In an effort to increase the installation of energy efficient residential
swimming pool pumps on Long Island, LIPA is offering a mail-in rebate
to LIPA electric account customers who purchase a two-speed or
variable-speed swimming pool pump with an eligible controller.* To
qualify for a rebate, pool pumps must be installed by a participating
dealer/installer who has signed a 2013 Letter of Agreement and
has taken the required manufacturers training. Eligible pumps must
be 1/2 HP or larger. For a list of eligible products and participating

efficiency. Residential retrofit and new construction customers are
eligible.

The LIPA $150-$400 POOL PUMP MAIL-IN REBATE
Get $150 back on an eligible two-speed pump or $400 back on an eligible
variable-speed pump from LIPA. This rebate is good for purchases made
January 1, 2013 through November 30, 2013. Limit four (4) rebates per LIPA
residential electric customer account, per year. To receive your rebate, please
fill out this form completely and mail it to the address below.
Please include a copy of your efficient pool pump invoice showing purchase price,
purchase date, manufacturer, and model number and a copy of your installation
invoice showing installation address and pool pump model number. Participating
installer must have signed a LIPA 2013 Dealer/Installer Letter of Agreement.
Incomplete information will delay or disqualify your rebate. All rebate requests
must be postmarked no later than December 31, 2013.

*Important Controller Information: Pool pump motor control must
have the capability of operating at a minimum of two speeds. The
control’s default circulation speed setting shall be no more than onehalf of the motor’s maximum rotation rate. Any high speed override
capability shall be for a temporary period not to exceed one 24-hour
cycle without resetting to default settings.
