We asked our Eastside staff and volunteers to share some of their
favorite places to go and explain why.
•
Catalina island, Lake Arrowhead - great for a day trip and being outdoors
•
Newport, Balboa or Laguna beach - take a walk along the shore early or late in
the day, or hang out on the sand. preferably a quiet, less touristy spot
•
Palm Springs. Close enough to just go for a night but still feels like a vacation.
•
Dana Point - The Blue Lantern Inn. Costs a little more, but well worth it for a
romantic getaway. Reception and full breakfast included. Each room is a suite
and has a fireplace.
•
Monterrey, San Diego. Nice to get further away, solid beaches and great hikes
•
Santa Barbara Sit on the beach and read or just soak up the beauty, go on hikes
and cruise around downtown, Explore the hills, wine tasting, go to the beach,
drive through the stage coach areas and vineyards
Things to do:

Yorba Linda Regional park - great access to the Santa Ana trail, lakes, never
packed, take the kids & let them run

on Main St and Imperial.

Mon-Sat:10am - 5pm, Sun: 11am - 5pm. 2013 Concert schedule FREE to the
public. Doors open @ 1:15 pm, Concert begins at 2:00pm. Chili’s and Blue Agave
a short distance away for dining.
